"PET SOUNDS" 1966 UK original first pressing MONO Capitol T-2458, Brian Wilson classic. British original, 'Sold In UK Subject To Resale Price Conditions...' disclaimer on the labels. First pressing Matrix T1-2458-1 ... T2-2458-1 … There was no true stereo version of this LP until decades later when Brian went back into the masters and did an actual stereo mix. All 1960's & 1970's and beyond stereo pressings even in England were incredibly 'rechannelled stereo'! The only mix Brian did himself in 1966 was MONO, and here is the British first pressing!
This is a player copy of an original pressing. It has light general play wear, light normal superficial inner sleeve scuffing, some superficial hairlines and minor spindle trails, otherwise has some of it's original sheen. We have played this through and it plays fine with varying degree of mostly light surface noise. Maybe the occasional pop or tic. Labels have typical center hole wear otherwise bright and clean. No writing, no stickers.
The flip-back cover has minor shelf soil on the back and light wear. The laminated front has typical record impression, some spidering and crimping of the lamination along the right side, and some light shelf tips wear. No splits, no stickers, no writing. Spine print straight up and down, centered, and intact.
OVERALL a nice, not mint but acceptable copy original 1966 mono British first pressing of an audio piece of rock history! A masterpiece.
SOLID VG or better, inside and out.
