Description

Up for auction is BEACH BOYS, "PET SOUNDS" lp, BRIAN WILSON'S OPUS MAGNUM, maybe THE greatest pop/rock recording of all times (CAPITOL T 2458, MONO!!!), in RARE UK CAPITOL 1st ORIGINAL EARLIEST ULTRA RARE MONO pressing, in hard-to-find GREAT FINE STRONG EXCELLENT CONDITION!!!


Laminated Garrod & Lofthouse flipback cover is in STRONG EXCELLENT condition, the only blemishes i can find are a few slight small laminated creases round the spine plus one more on unlaminated back (see pics) and the slightest signs of ageing (yellowing) on back near spine and opening, front colours are like bright fresh new and so amazing glossy, flipback "ears" are exteremely clean white and glossy!!! NO any discoloration, NO stains tears or rips, NO seam splits, NO marks or writing, spine is perfectly intact!!!

Vinyl looks fine EXCELLENT, keeps nice gloss and shine, has a few absolutely inaudible hairlines, NO marks, NO scuffs, NO scratches, NO finger marks, plays NICE EXCELLENT, i could positively grade much higher, but in A side you may hear a slight surface/groove static, caused probably by record pressing, but ONLY between a few songs or a couple only of the most quiet passages, in B side i can ONLY hear a couple of slight ticks after the last dog barking when recording finally is fading out, plus the slightest typical groovewear, nothing significant to audio result!!! NO pops or clicks or any heavier crackles, NO distracted noises or scratches!!! ROUGH MONO MIX SOUND IS ABSOLUTELY CRISPY CLEARLY CLEAN AND EXTREMELY LOUD WITHOUT ANY OF THE SLIGHTEST DISTRACTED NOISE OR ANNOYING SCRATCH!!! Maybe a nice cleaning would improve the whole audio result even more, but I'll leave that job to you!!!


Very early matrix nos are: T1 2458-1, T2 2458-1,

Mother stampers are: 1 O on both sides!!!


Labels (black ORIGINAL rainbow/colorband, KT upon side B) are in clean EXCELLENT condition, only the slightest wear, NO marks, NO taping, NO writing!!!

Original EMITEX inner sleeve is in VG++ condition, has the typical wear on two seams!

 


Extremely hard to find THIS ULTRA RARE FIRST ORIGINAL MONO MIX RELEASE in OVERALL STRONG EXCELLENT condition!!!
