Need we say more? One of top-five albums on anyone-and-everyone's want list, here is the Beach Boys's regal masterpiece in all its original (mono) glory. The sound of the original mono LP will leave you salivating; Brian Wilson's "Teenage ode to God" aged with such immaculate, spiritual grace, that many people put it right up there in the Pantheon of Classical music, along the masterworks by Beethoven and Mozart. No wonder. It is an album of fine, delicate, almost nocturnal vibes, accessible only to deeply hurt (or loving) souls. On Pet Sounds, minor key reigns supreme from start to finish.
When Capitol records issued this masterpiece in 1966, they did a remarkably idiotic, bird-brained, retarded (and we are being lenient on Capitol here) decision to issue relatively small number of copies of this album altogether (despite the fact that Beach Boys were, along the Beatles, their biggest selling act) presumably because they had misgivings about the commercial appeal of the album, and could not immediately identify any obvious hit-singles on it to warrant their enthusiasm (the album would ultimately yield no less than four top-50 singles (alas, no top-10 chartbusters), including "God only Knows", the songs many believe to be the single finest ballad in the history of Rock). In an awkward case of self-fulfilled prophecy, the album did, in fact, initially turn out to be a commercial flop and for many years remained the worst seller of all classic BB albums. In the intervening years this, of course, has changed considerably and the sales have picked up to reflect the status of the "Classic" bestowed on this Giant album by all-knowing critics (yikes!!!!) and public alike.
What else can be said of this great 60's rock album that hasn't been said over the past 40 years since it was recorded? Not much, we believe. By now, this album should be known to every man, woman and child on earth. This audiophile pressing, with its sparkling analog sound will leave you begging for more. You will hear all of those great Brian Wilson of broken and aching heart songs like you've never heard them before. This is the version of the album to bury all prior and subsequent versions of this album. Out of print for almost ten years, there is a not even a hope that this audiophile version of the Beach Boys classic will ever again appear in the stores, leaving us with some inferior digital alternatives. Don’t miss out on an opportunity to own a piece of history - and then some!
No other analogue pressing or version of this classic West Coast psych album - and we mean: ABSOLUTELY NO OTHER; NONE; NADA; ZERO; ZILCH - NONE WILL EVER SOUND AS GOOD AS THIS BEAUTY. This is the version to die for. Unless and until you have heard THIS, you have NEVER heard this classic Beach Boys masterpiece at all. I'll be willing to bet that even the group members were shocked to hear this pressing.
For its extraordinary contribution to the contemporary music, superb production, craftsmanship, fine musicianship, revolutionary significance and influence it exerted on numerous generations of musicians, songwriters and general public, or for some other inherent quality, this album was voted one of top-200 albums of all time in one of the largest poll of critics, music reviewers, show business professionals and producers ever organized: the poll, which was conducted by Paul Gambaccini, the legendary BBC Radio A&R man, surveyed more than 50 top music professionals (including Roy Carr, Jonathan Cott, Robert Christgau, Cameron Crowe, Chet Flippo, Ben Fong-Torres, Charlie Gillett, Greil Marcus, Murray the K., Lenny Kaye, Bruce Morrow (a/k/a "Cousin Brucie"), Tim Rice , Lisa Robinson, Robert Shelton, Ed Ward, Joel Whitburn, Pete Wingfield, etc.). For more details, see: "Critics Choice: Top-200 albums" , Omnibus Press, Library of Congress Catalog No.7855565 (or ► click here for the complete album listing)
Reflecting the historical importance of this album, as well as its popular and critical acclaim, The Rolling Stone Magazine selected this album as on of the top-200 Rock albums of all time in their recent global poll. (►click here for more details).

· CONDITION:
· RECORD
(IMPORTANT NOTE: unless otherwise noted, ALL records are graded visually, and NOT play-graded!; we grade records under the strong, diffuse room light or discrete sunlight)
(a) THE VINYL IS ABSOLUTELY, PERFECTLY MINT, as if never played before. The original luster is totally intact, and the vinyl shines and sparkles like brand new. The labels look perfect, simply gorgeous, with absolutely no trace of wear around the spindle hole. The record is TOTAL PERFECTION - ABSOLUTE VISUAL NIRVANA! We are confident that, in this condition, the record we present here is truly once-in-a-lifetime find.
(b) The album comes with the original insert still intact.
(c) The record comes in a hi-grade MFSL-style PVC inner sleeve, which has - apparently with success - shielded the record from the harmful impact of elements over many years!
(d) The record is pressed on a beautiful, thick, inflexible vinyl, which was usually used for the first or very early pressings. Usually, the sound on such thick vinyl pressings is full-bodied, vivid, and even dramatic. Do not expect to obtain such a majestic analog sound from a digital recording!
(e) Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!
(f) The record is pressed on a beautiful, high-quality, virgin-grade vinyl, which is usually used for audiophile, extended-dynamic-range, half-speed mastered and connoisseur pressings.
