BEACH BOYS, Pet Sounds, original UK mono 1966 LP.
T 2458, original UK 1966 mono ‘rainbow’ Capitol record labels.
A UK copy in original condition, featuring,
1. each record label has a more unusual, ‘outer ridge’ to it !,
2. each record label has a more unusual ‘textured surface’,
3. original UK first issue 1966 mono ‘flip back’ sleeve,
4. earliest mono record ‘matrix’ of, 1 / 1,
5. original 1966 Capitol ‘rainbow’ record labels, with the text, ‘Sold in UK ‘, etc,
6. comes with its original period 1966 UK spec, EMI advertising inner sleeve, that features this album, ‘Pet Sounds’, on it.
CONDITION:
THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in near excellent condition, the front of the sleeve is laminated. This laminate has retained an excellent glossy laminate finish. The spine is near excellent condition and has remained clean, white and straight and all of the text on the spine is clear to read. The two opening edges have remained clean and sharp for their age. The rear of the sleeve has remained an excellent clean, white for its age. The rear of the sleeve features the original 1960s ‘tri flip back’, ie fold over edges. Theres NO pen writing, tears, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. There is some ‘rubbing’ to the top centre edge.
THE INNER SLEEVE: is in excellent condition and is the original UK spec, EMI black and white advertising inner sleeve. A very clean, white and crease free inner sleeve. The two opening edges have remained clean. A well preserved inner sleeve. Theres NO pen writing, tears, stains, splits, stickers or sticker residue on the inner sleeve.
THE RECORD: side one is in near excellent condition. Side two is in very good++ condition. The record has remained dark and glossy.
The matrix are: T1 2458 – 1 and T2 2458 - 1,
The mother / stampers are: ‘1 OP’ and ‘2 OT’.
THE AUDIO: each side plays near excellent, it plays with some light ‘ticks’ heard here and there, but overall it plays with nice quiet grooves. The record plays with a full, loud period mono sound. From about the middle of the playing surface to the outside edge of the record, the record doesn't lay entirely flat, but this is only slight and does not affect the audio.
THE LABELS: side one is in near excellent condition. Side two is in excellent condition. The letters ‘KT’ are embossed around the spindle hole on side one. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVES, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
