Description
Up for auction is a copy of Spirit Of America b/w Boogie Woodie by The Beach Boys, released in 1963 on Capitol Custom 45-50438. I say “released”; this 45 was distributed by KFWB at the opening of the South Bay branch of Wallichs Music City, and nowhere else. One of their rarest US 45s.
Condition: a-side has some surface marks but nothing feelable. B-side has some more serious marks, but still plays through with no jumps/sticks. Cover is a repro, I’m afraid. VG for the a-side, G for the flip.
My grades: I use a 10-point scale: M-; EX; VG+; VG; VG-; G+; G; G-; F (fair); P (poor). I never use mint as a grade for used records. I am a long-time (25+ years!) record collector, and play-grade where possible. I don’t use stock photos: the item in pictured here is the item for sale.
