Loud (!) Fast (!) Rules (!). Legendary Hardcore classic from the East Coast. Very powerful and really hectic. Original first US pressing, released on Dave Parsons famous NYHC label ‘Ratcage’ records in 1982 (catalogue number MOTR 21). A tiny HC label operated from an East Village storefront of the same name. The same sold on eBay, in June, for $191 and in June again for $160 (US). Their first and best 7“ goes by the title ‘Polly Wog Stew’ EP and includes 8 fantastic stompers. You can listen to the bomber ‘Riot Fight’, the fantastic HC winner ‘Holy Snappers’, the out-of-control cracker ‘Egg Raid On Mojo’, the snotty teenage blast ’Ode To..’ and so on. Two tracks from this EP were also issued on the Roir tape only compilation titled ‘NEW YORK THRASH’ in 1982. The original line-up features John (guitar), Michael (vocals), Kate (drums) plus bassist Adam O’Keefe aka Adam Horovitz from infamous Hardcore legends THE YOUNG & THE USELESS. · As you all know the rap stars started out as a NYHC band when they were all still teenagers, and this was their first EP. Angry, quirky, snotty NYHC with a twisted sense of humor; all the songs are short and fast. NYHC classic. [8]
· Die Kids auf dem Rückcover sind allerhöchstens 16, schlägt sich auch in der Musik nieder: fetzig, quirlig und rotzfrech. Die Songs sind meistens kurz und schnell, aber lang nicht so stumpf wie bei vielen anderen NY-Bands; Egg Raid… ist ein kleiner Hit. Sollte man haben, als NY-Fan sowieso. An Rap dachte zu dieser Zeit übrigens noch keiner.

Versand / Mailing: alle Platten werden in einer neutralen weißen 7“ Hülle außerhalb des Plattencovers verschickt, um Beschädigungen am Originalcover zu vermeiden (all records will be sent in plain white 7“ sleeves outside of the picture sleeves to avoid any seam splits). Ebenso werden alle Platten entsprechend stabil in speziellen Schallplatten-Versandkartons mit zwei dicken Pappkartons verpackt (all records will be shipped in special record mailers, two cardboard paddings (the best) will be used to avoid bending).
