Description

This boxed set, known as THE COLLECTION was produced by Mobile Fidelity Labs (MFSL) in 1982 and when it was released, it quickly sold out. Only 25,000 numbered boxed sets were manufactured. This one is #14,875. The albums have never been played and although the book has been looked out( the white matt page covering shows signs of handling), it has no creases nor tears. The glossy colored art book shows the original album covers (front and back). The box itself is in excellent condition, with a couple of scratches on one side (see picture) . This is the ultimate set of Beatle lps....there is nothing out there that sounds better and I've listened to the Japanese recordings as well. The reason is simple...these lps were recorded at half speed from the original master tapes. There are 13 Beatle recordings (14 lps total). Also includes the Geodisc for proper cartridge alignment.Keep in mind that the album covers do not show the normal artwork found on the regular beatle albums. I would have shown a picture but I've already double boxed the set for shipping. The covers are also in mint condition...no creases nor bends. By the way, winning bidder pays shipping + insurance cost from 07871. The package weighs approx. 18 lbs. No handling or packaging fee. You can also use FEDEX (fedex.com). Remember the shipping calculator provides the cost of shipping only, insurance is extra and required. THIS IS A PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT ..... this message is for the newbies, if you plan on playing these albums, make sure that you're using a high end turntable and that the cartridge is properly aligned. If you're not sure go to a reputable electronics store and have them make any adjustments and if necessary replace your stylus (maybe even the cartridge). HAPPY BIDDING!
