After 20 years of collecting, the time has come for me to sell my Beatles collection and let other collectors appreciate some of the records and memorabilia I've accumilated over the years. Please check out my other listings and remember to save me as a favourite seller, as every week I'll be listing more and more increasingly rare, collectible and desirable Beatles records!
Please be aware that all records are VISUALLY graded only - all grades are given based on how they appear under my desk lamp - since I do not own a record player. I cannot guarantee that discs will be click and skip free, although any marks and scratches that might possibly cause such problems will be highlighted clearly in the description.

This auction is for a rare reel-to-reel tape copy of the Beatles album 'With the Beatles'. This is a beautiful example of this rare, collectible reel-to-reel tape that comes complete with it's original EMI Tape leaflet, and even the original paper bag it came in! This bag is rubber-stamped "The Record Shop, Queens Road, Hastings. Telephone 28928" and has a red and blue design with musical staffs and guitar designs, with the words 'Popular' and 'Classical'. In fact, there's a history of The Record Shop in Hastings at THIS WEBSITE.
Vinyl wasn't the only format that the Beatles albums were released on. They were also issued on 3 3/4 IPS twin track mono tape for playing on reel-to-reel tape players. These tapes were sold in much fewer numbers than their vinyl counterparts and, today, are difficult to find and highly collectible, especially in this beautiful condition! I really do doubt that this tape has been played much at all, and it's been lovingly cared for throughout it's 50+ years!.

As you can see, the box as a whole is in a remarkable condition! It looks almost exactly like it did when it was first bought back in 1963! All I can really say is that the book looks like it has a few very light brown spots, and a hint of light yellowing but that's it! There's a '11' sticker on the corner of the lid but there's no splitting, writing, wear, tear etc. The box is near immaculate! Check out the photos! The lid still fits tight over the box and has not loosened in any way over it's 50 years! The inner tray is included and is looking great! The only problem I can see is that there's some very small tears at each join of the card tape holder. You can see them in the photo above.
The original EMI Tape leaflet is included and is looking really good with just some light, minimal creasing around the edges.
The original fragile paper bag is holding really nicely. You can see that it's got creasing, light wear and tear and some browning in places, but to have the original shop bag at all, especially in this sort of condition, is remarkable!

The tape is in it's original EMI Tape reel and has the small Parlophone sticker. The opening tape feed has just one small crease in it near the end and the closing red feed is still spun around tightly in the middle. I doubt that this tape has been played much at all!

All LPs will be mailed out in a strong, corrugated cardboard LP mailing box with the LP outside the sleeve. Extra sheets of corrugated cardboard will be used where applicable and FRAGILE tape used
