Description
The Beatles - 'With The Beatles'. PMC 1206.
The Beatles 1963 UK 1st mono pressing of the 'With The Beatles' LP. Released on the 22nd November 1963, this rare copy is one of very fist issues to be produced with multiple spelling errors, publishing error AND the earliest possible 1N/1N matrix numbers. A great condition example of this rare 1st pressing.
Released on the yellow and black Parlophone label. Both vinyl labels feature the 'Recording First Published 1963' text and 'The Parlophone Co.Ltd' rim print. Very unusually ONLY the 'K' tax code is embossed on the side one label. This should feature the 'KT' tax code but NO other digit is visible even when held under a light.
Both the vinyl AND cover feature the rare spelling error 'You Really Gotta Hold On Me'. It SHOULD state 'You Really Got a Hold On Me'. In addition, on side two the track 'Money' has the publishing credit wrongly listed as 'JOBETE'. This error was quickly corrected on all further issues to 'Dominion, Belinda'. The LP also has the earliest possible 1N/1N matrix numbers which were very soon changed by the end of 1963. The vinyl is housed within the original 'Patents Pending Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover.
The matrix numbers are:
Side 1: XEX 447-1N GGL 3
Side 2: XEX 448-1N GGP 10
The vinyl is in EXCELLENT-/VERY GOOD+ condition. Both sides play through with no problems just some crackle in places.
Both labels are in EXCELLENT condition. Very light residue on side one.
The sleeve is in EXCELLENT- condition. The letters 'o' within the track listing have been coloured in. Not very noticeable at all.
The inner sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition.
