Please be aware that all records are VISUALLY graded only - all grades are given based on how they appear under my desk lamp - since I do not own a record player. I cannot guarantee that discs will be click and skip free, although any marks and scratches that might possibly cause such problems will be highlighted clearly in the description.

Very Rare Original New Zealand 1st Press
with Black Parlophone Label and Error Sleeve!
This listing is for a very rare, early 1st press copy from New Zealand of the Beatles album A Hard Day's Night.
This copy features the original black Parlophone label which only featured for a very short time before the label was changed to blue.
Not only that, but this copy also features the very rare, early example of the sleeve that features multiple errors and the full, wraparound gold 'mono' sticker. Not only did they get the mono catalogue number wrong on the back and spine (PMCM 1203) forcing them to black it out, they also got the title of the album wrong on the spine, titling the album "A Hard Night's Day"!
Due to how quickly the label was changed from black to blue, and how quickly the errors were corrected on the sleeve, copies of this album are incredibly hard to find. This is a great example to pick up a great, clean copy of this mega rarity!

Title A Hard Day's Night Year of Release 1964 Catalogue Number PMCM 1230 Label Black Parlophone Tax Code on Disc - Sleeve Manufacturer - Side 1 Matrix Number XEX481 Side 2 Matrix Number XEX482 Side 1 Stampers - Side 2 Stampers - Sleeve Condition The sleeve is in EX- condition. The sleeve is holding up really nicely (especially for a sleeve as fragile as this) with just your usual, light wear and tear. The front is very clean with just a few little knocks in the laminate. The gold Mono sticker has just a little rubbing on the front but still looks really clean and bright with a great shine and colour. Top and bottom seams are both holding perfectly with no splits or tears. The spine is pinched and sadly has a little damage right in the middle, but you can see the 'A Hard Night's Day' error and the rest of the spine if holding fine and fully legible. The back has a few spots of light discolouration and there's some light disc impression and a slight browning, but overall looks very clean with the overflaps still stuck down nicely. Overall, looking very good! Inner Sleeve Condition - Inserts Condition - Disc Condition(VISUALLY GRADED) The disc is in VG++ condition. The disc has a really nice, clean shine to it but has a fair amount of light scuffs here and there. There's nothing deep or nasty looking and, overall, looks clean. Label Condition The labels are in EX+ condition. The labels both look very clean with just a little spindlewear and a touch of whitening around the centrehole.
All records have been visually graded under a strong, 125W natural light desk lamp.

My Regarding Vinyl Grading:
MINT No true preowned disc can be mint. The highest I will ever grade a disc is NM+/M- if it looks untouched and unplayed, but the MINT description will only be for records I personally know have never been played (i.e. I personally bought from new) or for copies that are still sealed. NEAR MINT (NM) For discs that look near flawless and which may have just the slightest, barely visible little whispy marks here and there. EXCELLENT (EX) For discs that still retain a brilliant, clean shine but does have some light scuffs here and there. VERY GOOD (VG) For discs that still look clean and have a nice shine to them, but do have a fair amount of light scuffmarks and/or some light scratches. GOOD (G) For discs that look like they have been loved and have a fair amount of scuffs and surface scratches. Not in terrible condition, but would look like it would play with a lot of crackle. FAIR (F) For discs that may have some life left in them but are pretty trashed with numerous surface scuffs and heavier scuffs and scratches etc POOR (P) For discs that are unplayable and look completely trashed. Discs like this would only ever be offered if they were insanely rare.
