YESTERDAY/ACT NATURALLY (Capitol #5498 1st pressing w/PICTURE SLEEVE, 1965): CLEAN VG+/M- PIC SLEEVE & 45 w/JUKESTRIP!
CLEAN VG+ PICTURE SLEEVE: No splits or writing (& almost no ring wear, for which this sleeve is notorious). It presents beautifully although it has a pair of staple holes & a few tiny tears at top (the biggest is 1/2" near the upper left corner; see gallery photo). Plus 1st pressing 45 with M- vinyl; microscopic writing on one label (see last photo). Discounted from $50+ for these shortcomings. Jukebox title strip included.
Yesterday is not a Beatles recording. Paul's mellifluous crooning (& his acoustic) are solo; the only other musicians heard are anonymous string-section proles hired by George Martin & added in post. Ringo, George & John are nowhere to be seen.
Consideration was given for a 1965 release as a Paul McCartney solo 45, but Brian Epstein vetoed it. Brian didn't want to tip the delicate Lennon/McCartney ego-balance, so it was issued as a MacLen composition of a Beatles recording. But it's not.
One only...don't miss it!
COMBINED SHIPPING DISCOUNT: $4.99 sends this single with delivery confirmation; 50 cents ships each additional 45.
