Description

Please be aware that all records are VISUALLY graded only - all grades are given based on how they appear under my desk lamp - since I do not own a record player. I cannot guarantee that discs will be click and skip free, although any marks and scratches that might possibly cause such problems will be highlighted clearly in the description.

This auction is for an original 1965 STEREO 1st pressing of the Beatles LP 'Help!'. Comes in an early 'Patents Pending' sleeve!

Stereo LPs of the Beatles albums before 1967 are harder to find than their mono counterparts because stereo record players cost more than mono players back in the day, and stereo records cost more than mono. Therefore, more mono copies sold than stereo. It wasn't until '67, when these two factors were done away with, that mono instantly became an obsolete format.

The Cover : VG+/EX-



The sleeve is holding up really nice overall. The front has creamed a little but is free of any dirt and the laminate has a good, solid shine to it. There's some creasing in the top right and bottom left corners as you can see in the photos above. Top and bottom seams are holding perfectly with no problems. The spine is fully intact with no splits, tears or anything and with all the text fully legible. The back has browned a little but there's no stains, but the name 'Mike' has been written in small, blue fountain pen next to the song title 'You Like Me Too Much'. Top left and bottom right corners have creases in them as you can see. The overflaps are all stuck nice and tightly. Overall, not looking bad at all!   Inner Sleeve : VG

The original tissue-paper lined Emitex inner sleeve is included. It's looking pretty nice with some light creasing around the edges and corners and with some small seam splits in the middle of each seam but, overall, is holidng up okay.   Disc : VG+/EX-


The playing surface has got a lovely, crisp shine to it and just a few little, faint scuffs in places. There are a few slightly heavier looking scuffs but nothing at all serious that I can see. Nice disc!.

Labels : EX+/NM-


The labels are looking exceptional! Clean and crisp with bright, silver text and just a tiny, faint spindlewear with just a very light touch fo whitening around the centrehole. Top labels!
