Please be aware that all records are VISUALLY graded only - all grades are given based on how they appear under my desk lamp - since I do not own a record player. I cannot guarantee that discs will be click and skip free, although any marks and scratches that might possibly cause such problems will be highlighted clearly in the description.

This auction is for an original STEREO 1st pressing of the Beatles LP 'Rubber Soul' on the yellow / black Parlophone label.
In 1965, when this LP was released, the stereo format was still very much a novelty. As stereophonic record players still cost a lot more than mono record players, and because stereo records cost a lot more than their mono counterparts, hardly anybody ever bought the stereo copies. Because of this, mono copies are everywhere but the original stereo copies are incredibly hard to find!
Not only that, but this copy carries 1G / 1R mother/stampers in the deadwax! To read more about what the mother / stamper codes mean, then I suggest a quick read of this page here. The 1G/1R stampers on this record, as detailed in that link, shows that this was one of the first 300/600 copies off the press!
A decent copy of this very rare, hard to find LP!

The cover is in a very decent, respectable condition. The front is lovely and clean with just a very light laminate rubbing in places and a few little laminate creases around the edges. There appears to be a very light pen outline on the O and U of 'Soul'. on John's cheek and Paul's eyelid but these are very faint. The cover still retains is wonderful, rich colour. Top and bottom seams are holding fine with no splits or tears. The spine is also holding perfect with no splits or tears, and all of the print is fully legible. The back has browned slightly but is still looking pretty clean with just a few little creases in the overflaps. Overall, looking very nice! Disc (Visually Graded Only!!) : VG+
The playing surface has a very nice shine to it but has a fair amount of light scuffs and marks all over the playing surface. Nothing at all nasty, though!

The labels are clean with bright, silver text and no rubbing, stickers, writing etc. There's some light spindlewear and just a touch of whitening around the centrehole. Nice labels!
