THE BEATLES
ULTIMATE VINYL EXPERIENCE
ATTENTION BEATLES FANS:
Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of one the most collectible and highly sought after Fab 4 LPs of all-time:
ORIGINAL 1966 "3rd STATE" MONO EDITION OF...
YESTERDAY AND TODAY
(Capitol Records T - 2556 MONO - black / colorband label)
This is an West Coast pressing and bears RIAA #6 on the rear cover.
Tracks include:
Drive My Car / I'm Only Sleeping / Nowhere Man / Dr. Robert / Yesterday / Act Naturally / And Your Bird Can Sing / We Can Work It Out / Day Tripper / What Goes On / If I Needed Someone
This is a "3rd state" pressing. Upon the album’s original 1966 release, the replacement white "trunk photo" album slick was peeled back revealing the controversial “butcher photo” underneath.
The cover was steam-peeled in 1966 and some residue remains from the "trunk" pasteover. In addition, there are a few small tears and nicks on the sleeve. Most- if not all- of the aforementioned flaws can be repaired or removed entirely.
The "butcher photo" boasts bright vivid colors overall.
The back cover print is solid with some light aging and typical shelfwear on the otherwise WHITE background.
In addition, a copy of the 1966 recall letter from Capitol records, explaining the substitute "trunk" cover is also included with this package.
