Description

The Beatles - 'Revolver'. PMC 7009

The Beatles 1966 UK MONO FACTORY SAMPLE DEMO pressing of the 'Revolver' album. Released on the 5th August 1966, these initial early factory sample pressings would have usually been given out to reviewers, radio stations or used as quality control within the pressing plant.

Released on the yellow and black Parlophone label both sides feature the 'Sold in the UK....' text and have 'The Gramophone Co. Ltd' rim print. The 'KT' tax code is embossed on the side one label. The vinyl is housed within the correct and original ‘Patents Applied For’, ‘Made in Great Britain’ inner sleeve. This has the release date stamped to one side ‘5 Aug’. The cover is printed by ‘Ernest J. Day’ and has a large red ‘P’ sticker to the rear. I am unsure of what this stands for but I would assume - promotional or played? A desirable promo issue of one of the Beatles finest albums.

The Matrix numbers are:

Side 1. XEX 605-2 1 G P A

Side 2. XEX 606-3 4 G G H

The vinyl is in VERY GOOD+ condition.

Both labels are in EXCELLENT condition.

The sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition.

The inner sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition. I will include an additional new inner sleeve to protect the original.

This LP will be very carefully packaged for transit. UK recorded postage is: £4.55. EU recorded postage is: £12.95. Rest of the world recorded postage is: £18.95. Combined, reduced postage is available.
