This auction is for an original German 1st press copy of the legendary Beatles LP 'Sgt. Peppers' on the Odeon Hor Zu white / gold label.
This is the domestic SHZE pressing and is in a very nice, respectable condition! Would look great in any Beatles collection!
...
The cover is looking exceptional for its age! You really wouldn't believe that this cover was nearly 50 years old! Still retains all of its original colour with just a very light disc impression at the top and bottom of the back and front, and just a touch of laminate rub. The corners are sharp, the seams are untouched and the spine is perfect, unsplit and fully legible. The mouth edge is still sharp with just one of two very light spots of wear and the inner gatefold is immaculate! Beautiful example of this original sleeve! Insert: EX+
The original, dark green German manufactured insert is included and it looking really nice! There's a very faint brown mark at the bottom left and a small crease that you can see on the back, but overall the cutout is complete and looking very nice!
.. Disc (Visually Graded Only!!) : VG+EX-
The playing surface has a lovely, crisp shine to it and has a fair amount of light, very faint scuffs and marks. Nothing at all serious, though and overall is looking very nice!
.
The labels are very clean with no writing, tears, stickers etc. There's some very light spindlewear and no visible wear around the centrehole. Nice labels!
.
All records have been visually graded under a strong, 125W natural light desk lamp.
