After 20 years of collecting, the time has come for me to sell my Beatles collection and let other collectors appreciate some of the records and memorabilia I've accumilated over the years. This auction is for a very rare, original EXPORT pressing of the Beatles LP 'Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band' on the German Odeon label. The ZTOX
The ZTOX indicated a foreign distribution number indicating that these presses of the album were intended for sale outside of Germany. It's said that the ZTOX series were released through the EES (European Exchange Service) when the Air force Exchange Service merged with the EES they made an agreement to distribute records. It's said that the ZTOX export copies of this album were possibly designated for Switzerland.

These ZTOX copies are extremely hard to come by these days and comes complete with its original German made cutout sheet!

The cover is looking okay, but is showing its age with some average, light wear and tear. the front cover looks slightly grubby, but is still showing a good colour. There's a little bit of sticker residue at the top right corner, but this could be easily removed. The top seam is holding tight with no wear or splits. Bottom seam has a little wear spot in the middle, about an inch long, but doesn't appear to have split yet. Spine has a little wear but hasn't split and is fully legible. Back, like the front, has a good colour to it with a little dirt build up. The corners have rounded and have knocks. The top spne corner has a little wear than the other corners. The inner gatefold is clean with a deep, rich colour to it and just some light creasing around the top and bottom of the spine. The Cutout : EX
The original German printed cardboard cutout is included and is in excellent condition. There's some light smudging around the Germany credit in the white, but overall the cutout is looking great with a good, rich colour and no tears, wear, creasing etc. Nice! Disc (Visual Grade Only!): VG-

The playing surface has lost a little of its original shine and is covered in light scuffing. There's a single, slightly heavier scuff on side 1 but looks purely cosmetic.

The labels are clean but look slightly tired. There's a sticker mark on side 1 and both labels are showing some light spindlewear.

All records have been visually graded under a strong, 125W natural light desk lamp.

All LPs will be mailed out in a strong, corrugated cardboard LP mailing box with the LP outside the sleeve. Extra sheets of corrugated cardboard will be used where applicable and FRAGILE tape used
