The Beatles - 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' LP. PMC 7027
The Beatles 1967 UK 1st MONO pressing of the 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' LP. Released on the 1st June 1967, this particular copy has THREE PRINTING ERRORS (one on the labels and two on the sleeve) and very strange side two matrix numbers.
On the rear cover the track ‘With A Little Help From My Friends’ is incorrectly spelt as ‘A Little Help From My Friends’. It is spelt correctly on the vinyl label. The first line of the lyrics are also printed wrong as the song DOES NOT begin with the line “A Little Help From My Friends” as printed here but begins “What would you do if I sang out of tune”.
On the vinyl labels side one is incorrectly printed ‘SOLD IN.U.K.’ (with a misplaced extra dot instead of a space). Side two is correctly printed ‘SOLD IN U.K.’.
Released on the yellow and black Parlophone label in the desirable MONO format. Both vinyl labels feature the 'Sold in the UK....' text and have 'The Gramophone Co Ltd....' rim print. The 'KT' tax code is embossed on the side one label. This comes complete with gatefold sleeve, insert sheet and white inner sleeve. Certainly an unusual issue.
The Matrix numbers are:
Side 1. XEX 637-1 3 7 MMM
Side 2. XEX 638-1 88088 ATL (some of the numbers are over printed each other, strange. Must be an error).
The vinyl is in VERY GOOD+ condition on side one and VERY GOOD condition on side two.
Both labels are in EXCELLENT+ condition.
The sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition.
The inner sleeve is in VERY GOOD+ condition. I will include an additional inner sleeve to protect the original.
The insert is in MINT- condition. Unused.
This LP will be very carefully packaged for transit. UK recorded postage is: £4.55. EU recorded postage is: £12.95. Rest of the world recorded postage is: £18.95. Combined, reduced postage is available.
