The Beatles - 'Lady Madonna / The Inner Light'. R 5675.
The Beatles 1968 UK DEMO pressing of 'Lady Madonna / The Inner Light' 7" single. Released on the 15th March 1968, this is a must have record for any serious Beatles collector. It comes housed within an original and rare 'URGENT - SPECIAL RUSH COPY TOP POP' demo sleeve.
These initial early demonstration pressings would have been given out to important reviewers and radio stations prior to the release date. Both labels state: 'DEMONSTRATION RECORD NOT FOR SALE' along with the release date '15.3.68'. Unfortunately the vinyl surface has a particularly deep strange circular mark that will effect play. I have included a close up photograph of the area below. Although not in the best of condition this is still among the rarest of Beatles vinyl.
The vinyl is in FAIR condition.
The labels are in VERY GOOD- condition on side one and VERY GOOD+ condition on side two.
The sleeve is in EXCELLENT- condition. 'AT' written neatly on one side otherwise a great example of this rare sleeve.
