Embossed and mega low number 0461274 Original 1968 U.S. Los Angeles CA first pressing of The Beatles 'White Album'. Incredible low very early A36/B35 Matrix stamps, which are documented as the very first pressings after George Harrison remastered the 'Compressed White Album'. In addition, this is the rare and highly sought after pressing containing all 7 printing errors on the labels. Upon release of the album, John Lennon noticed these mistakes and had them corrected immediately on future pressings but not before some of these extremely rare error copies had already entered the marketplace. Clearly an LA press SWBO-101, with the star (*) stamped in all 4 rims !! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The LPs shows lots of play, with scratches/scuffs/skips, now 54 years old. The labels are nice and clean, with NO writing and NO stickers. The outer spine is still intact. The cover is VG with no seam splits showing, with some neat repairs. It will arrive with all 4 original thick-stock portrait photos, and the original color poster, with lyrics

No White Album is perfect, and this one is no exception. The cardboard used in the making of The White Album was extremely poor and easily susceptible to the seams separating, fading, soiling, ring wear, and both of the spines just disintegrating. Most of you who look to buy these treasures know that 99% of White Albums in circulation are weak at best. This is your chance to purchase a low numbered 7-error, A36/B35 White Album. This is a great starter error copy with a nice cover, nice record labels, with rare historic A36/B35 matrix numbers stamped in the dead wax rim.

 Here are all 7 song errors on the labels:
1. "Bungalow Bill" instead of "The Continuing Story of Bungalow Bill"
2. "Obladi Oblada" instead of "Ob-la-di Ob-la-da"
3. "Rocky Racoon" missing the second "C" in Raccoon
4. "Goodnight" instead of "Good Night"
5. "Revolution No. 1" instead of "Revolution 1"
6. "Revolution No. 9" instead of "Revolution 9"
7. "Why Don't we do it in the road" without the question mark (?)
Error #7 without the question mark, is the rarest of all the 7

The first 25 White Albums were numbered with an 'A' prefix and then a series of zeros preceding the number (e.g. A0000009). There are always seven digits following the 'A' so if it was a single digit number it would be preceded by six zeroes or if it was a two digit number it would be preceded by five zeroes. It is not known what the 'A' was indicative of (it may mean printed in America or Apple but neither is confirmed).

Numbers 26-99 were three digit numbers preceded with a zero and no prefix.

Numbers 100 through approximately 209,999 were preceded with the correct number of zeroes to make them a seven digit number
(with no letter prefix ever used on these early numbers)

Beginning around 210,000 to up near 590,000, they were preceded by a zero and had an 'A' prefix.
Next set of copies from 590,000 to 1,350,000 remain at 7 digits using a lead zero, with a large dot

The next batch from 1,350,000 up to 2,000,000 are prefixed with a thinner 'A' then used earlier
From 2,000,000 to around 2,250,000 most are prefixed with an 'A', and some with a large dot



From 2,250,000 up to 3,000,000 the numbers are prefixed with the abbreviation for number (i.e. No.) On some of these the 'o' in No. is raised with the period below it instead of beside it.

For the final numbers over 3,000,000 the numbers are prefixed with a wide 'A'
