Please be aware that I VISUALLY GRADE my records as I do not have access to a record player. I cannot guarantee that discs will be click, skip and noise free (although any marks that may cause such problems will be highlighted in the description).
All photos are of the actual item on sale. I do not use stock or 'borrowed' images.

Original 1969 MONO Press with Yellow / Black Parlophone label and NO Sold in UK!
On offer is an extremely rare and hard to find 1969 MONO press of the Beatles legendary LP Sgt. Peppers!
This copy features the original yellow / black label design, but does not feature the Sold in UK statement.
When Pepper was originally issued in 1967 there were tax laws that required the labels to feature a 'Sold in UK' statement. However, in 1969, laws changed which meant that this statement was no longer required. This happened just a couple of short months before Parlophone adopted the new 'silver / black' style labels. At this time the mono back catalogue was withdrawn, making the Beatles back catalogue stereo exclusive. This was done because, by 1969, mono was a completely dead, obsolete format.
At this time everyone was buying Abbey Road and the only way to get a copy of one of their older albums was to have it specifically ordered in for you. By this time, if anyone was replacing their old, worn out copy, they would have undoubtedly upgraded to the now affordable stereo format.
Today, because of these factors, it is especially rare to find a mono press that omits the Sold in UK statement. They were only available for a very short time when demand for mono was at an all time low, so barely any sold at all!

Title Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band Group The Beatles Format Mono Year of Release 1969 Catalogue Number PMC 7027 Label Yellow / Black Parlophone with 'Gramophone' rimtext and no Sold in UK Tax Code on Disc - Sleeve Manufacturer Garrod & Lofthouse Side 1 Matrix Number XEX 637-1 Side 2 Matrix Number XEX 638-1 Side 1 Stampers 4 / RLG Side 2 Stampers 1 9 / MGH Sleeve Condition The sleeve is in VG condition. The sleeve is holding up fine with no splits or tears. The front cover, I'm guessing, has been in sunlight at some point during its life as the colours have faded a little and have lost their vibrance (check the photo below to see this). I suspect this is a widespine sleeve but which has creased. The back is clean with a little disc impression and a nice, vibrant red colour to it. A few small creases here and there around the edges. The inner gatefold is very clean and colourful. Inner Sleeve Condition The inner sleeve is in VG+ condition. Looking fine with no splits or tears and with the plastic lining still adhered tightly in place. Some light creasing and has yellowed somewhat, but overall holding fine. Inserts Condition - Disc Condition(VISUALLY GRADED) The disc is in VG++ condition. The disc has a nice, clean shine to it and just some ligh scuffing here and there. Nothing serious or nasty looking. Label Condition The labels are in EX- condition. Both labels are clean with no writing or damage. There are a few little moisture marks (I think that's what they are) on the side 2 label, but otherwise all is good. There's some light spindlewear and a touch of whitening around the centrehole.
All records have been visually graded under a strong, 125W natural light desk lamp.

All LPs will be mailed out in a strong, corrugated cardboard LP mailing box with the LP outside the sleeve and extra
sheets of corrugated cardboard will be used where applicable.
My Vinyl Grading:
MINT No true preowned disc can be mint. The highest I will ever grade a disc is NM+/M- if it looks untouched and unplayed, but the MINT description will only be for records I personally know have never been played (i.e. I personally bought from new) or for copies that are still sealed. NEAR MINT (NM) For discs that look near flawless and which may have just the slightest, barely visible little whispy marks here and there. EXCELLENT (EX) For discs that still retain a brilliant, clean shine but does have some light scuffs here and there. VERY GOOD (VG) For discs that still look clean and have a nice shine to them, but do have a fair amount of light scuffmarks and/or some light scratches. GOOD (G) For discs that look like they have been loved and have a fair amount of scuffs and surface scratches. Not in terrible condition, but would look like it would play with a lot of crackle. FAIR (F) For discs that may have some life left in them but are pretty trashed with numerous surface scuffs and heavier scuffs and scratches etc POOR (P) For discs that are unplayable and look completely trashed. Discs like this would only ever be offered if they were insanely rare.price rating
