The Beatles - 'Yellow Submarine'. PCSJ 7070

The Beatles 1969 1st South African / UK PARLOPHONE pressing of the 'Yellow Submarine' LP. Released on the 17th January 1969, and offered here in remarkable stunning EXCELLENT/EXCELLENT+ condition.

Released on the one box Parlophone label both labels state 'Pressed For or By a Registered User'. Unusually neither side of the vinyl has any mother/stamper codes but simply features the UK matrix numbers YEX 715 and YEX 716. The original and correct 1969 cover features the two horizontal red lines above and below the sleeve notes and boxed Parlophone logo to the rear. This album was issued virtually worldwide on the Apple Records label so quite an interesting label variation here.

I recall reading that these South African released copies were actually produced here in the UK (vinyl only in South Africa covers) before being exported and issued overseas. I cannot 100% confirm this but the heavyweight vinyl quality is incredibly similar to the UK 1960's pressings. The sound quality is also remarkably good and defiantly on a par with the highly regarded 1960's UK pressings. An unusual pressing in STUNNING CONDITION.

Side 1. YEX 715

Side 2. YEX 716

The vinyl is in EXCELLENT/EXCELLENT+ condition. Both sides of the vinyl have been play tested with NO faults at all, perfect.

Both labels are in EXCELLENT+ condition.

The sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition. Some light discolouration to the front the rear is near perfect and remarkably clean.

The inner sleeve is in EXCELLENT+ condition.

This LP will be very carefully packaged for transit. UK recorded postage is: £4.00. EU recorded postage is: £9.95. Rest of the world recorded postage is: £15.95. Combined, reduced postage is available.
