Please be aware that all records are VISUALLY graded only - all grades are given based on how they appear under my desk lamp - since I do not own a record player. I cannot guarantee that discs will be click and skip free, although any marks and scratches that might possibly cause such problems will be highlighted clearly in the description.

This auction is for an original 1969 press of the Beatles LP 'A Hard Day's Night' on the Parlophone label. This is the 1969 press that features the old yellow / black label design but omits the 'Sold in the UK' statement!
In mid 1969 the tax laws that required UK domestic presses to feature the 'Sold in the UK...' statement since 1964 were changed, and so this text on the label was removed. This happened literally just a couple of months before Parlophone adopted the EMI 'one box' silver / black label design that the other EMI labels were beginning to use. By the time this was happening the fans were buying albums like Abbey Road and Let It Be and the earlier albums were barely selling at all.
This press is incredibly rare and copies hardly ever turn up for sale!

The cover is looking very clean with just some light wear and tear on it. The front cover is very clean with just a little rubbing on the laminate, a very light disc impression and some creasing, or which you can see in the photo above. The white border along the top has creamed a little. Top and bottom seams are both holding perfectly. Spine is holding with just a few little creases running through it, and has no splits or tears and all text is fully legible. Back cover is clean but has browned slightly, moreso down the mouthedge. There's a few vertical brown marks. Overflaps are stuck tight and do have soe light creases in them but look fine. Overall, very decent sleeve! Disc (Visually Graded Only!!) : VG+/EX-
The playing surface has a really nice, sharp shine to it. There are some light scuffs and surface marks, a little moreso on side 2, that bring the grade down slightly, but these do appear cosmetic. Overall, looking lovely!

The labels are looking awesome! Clean, crisp and clear with bright, silver text. There's just a little, light spindlewear and pretty much no whitening around the centrehole. Awesome labels!
