Please be aware that all records are VISUALLY graded only - all grades are given based on how they appear under my desk lamp - since I do not own a record player. I cannot guarantee that discs will be click and skip free, although any marks and scratches that might possibly cause such problems will be highlighted clearly in the description.

Very Rare 1969 Stereo Press that Omits 'Sold in UK' Statement!
This listing is for a very rare 1969 stereo press copy of the Beatles LP 'Beatles For Sale'. This particular copy features the original yellow / black Parlophone labels but omit the 'Sold in UK' statement, indicating that this copy was pressed in the few short months in 1969 after the tax laws that required the Sold in UK statement were changed so that it was no longer required and before Parlophone changed their label design to Silver / Black.
By 1969 fans were buying the White Album and Yellow Submarine and the only way to get a copy of their older albums was by special order, so sales of this album by this time were pretty low. Couple this with the fact that this particular label style was only ever available for just a few short months and you get a very rare pressing that very seldomly comes up for sale!

Title Beatles For Sale Year of Release 1969 Catalogue Number PCS 3062 Label Yellow / Black Parlophone with 'Gramophone' rimtext and NO 'Sold in UK' statement Tax Code on Disc - Sleeve Manufacturer - Side 1 Matrix Number YEX 142-1 Side 2 Matrix Number YEX 143-1 Side 1 Stampers 1 6 / PM Side 2 Stampers 1 7 / GL Cover Condition The cover is in VG+ condition. It's holding up very nicely with just a little light wear and tear, but holding up great with no seam splits or anything, and just a few little creases on the front, mostly down the spineside. I've graded this cover down because, for some reason, the cover looks very flat colourwise as you can see in the photos below. I don't know if this is a manufacturing fault or if the sleeve has suffered from discoluration, but it needs to be highlighted. The spine is also a light brown colour rather than white but it's a uniform brown and not faded or anything that would imply sleeve discoluration. The laminate on the spine is beginning to peel a little but the spine itself is solid and fully legible with no splitting or tears. Inside is very clean bar some writing on the right side on the top flap in blue pen, once in biro and once in fountain by the looks of things. Like I say, though, overall the cover is in a really nice, solid condition. If the sleeve didn't have this discolouration issue then it would have been a solid EX. Inner Sleeve Condition - Inserts Condition - Disc Condition(VISUALLY GRADED) The disc is in VG+/EX- condition. The disc has a really nice, clean shine to it and just some light, faint scuffing along with some slightly heavier looking scuffs. Nothing at all serious, however. Looking really nice! Label Condition The labels are in EX+ condition. The labels are spotless with no wear, tears, stickers, writing etc, but there is what appears to be a very small amount of residue on the side 1 label, bottom right. There's just a light amount of very light, faint spindlewear and a touch of whitening around the centrehole on the side 2 label.
All records have been visually graded under a strong, 125W natural light desk lamp.
