The Beatles - 'Yellow Submarine'. PMC 7070

The Beatles 1969 UK 1st MONO pressing of the 'Yellow Submarine' LP. Released on the 17th January 1969, this was the Beatles worst selling LP here in the UK making it now particularly rare. The Yellow Submarine LP was also the final album to be issued in both mono and stereo. With far, far fewer mono versions being pressed making this a sought after release. In addition to this being the rare mono version the cover is also of particular interest due to its EXCELLENT/EXCELLENT+ condition.

Released on the dark 'Apple Records' label both sides feature the 'Sold in the UK....' text. This copy also has some early stamper codes - GG 3 & H 1. The vinyl is housed within a UK 1st press stereo sleeve which is not uncommon with these rare mono copies of Yellow Submarine. This comes complete with original Apple Records inner sleeve.

The Matrix numbers are:

Side 1. XEX 715-1 GG 3

Side 2. XEX 716-1 H 1

The vinyl is in VERY GOOD+ condition side one and VERY GOOD- condition side two.

Both labels are in VERY GOOD+ condition. Scratch towards top of side one label and name on side two label (see pictures).

The sleeve is in EXCELLENT/EXCELLENT+ condition. A great example.

The inner sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition. Catalog number written neatly to one side.
