The Beatles - ‘Help ! / I’m Down'. R 5305
The Beatles 1969 2nd UK pressing of the 'Help ! / I’m Down' 7" single. Originally released on the 23rd July 1965, this 1969 issue is a rare label variation which failed to chart on it’s re-release.
This 2nd pressing OMITS the 'Sold In The UK....' text and has the addition of the LABEL ERROR of having ’PARLOPHONE CO LTD' rim print. It should be ‘Gramophone Co Ltd’ as with all 1969 issues (see my other listings). It did not even make the UK top 40 on it's re-release in 1969. As such it sold in very, very small amounts. These 1969 issues came housed in a variety of sleeve types including plain white. I am quite sure the sleeve is the original from 1969.
The Matrix numbers are:
Side 1. 7XCE 18280-2: 15 ROH KT
Side 2. 7XCE 18281-2: 17 ROR KT
The vinyl is in EXCELLENT condition on the a-side and EXCELLENT+ condition on the b-side.
Both labels are in MINT- condition.
The sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition.
