The Beatles - 'Magical Mystery Tour' E.P. SMMT 1
The Beatles 1969 UK TRANSITIONAL pressing of the 'Magical Mystery Tour' double 7" E.P. Released on the 8th December 1967, it is offered here in truly MAGNIFICENT MINT-/EXCELLENT+ condition. Very, very rarely do you see in such stunning condition.
Released on the Parlophone label this transitional press has one vinyl which features the 'Sold in UK....' text and one which omits this text. Both vinyls feature 'The Gramophone Co Ltd....' rim print. This issue would have been released during 1969 with the first disc (featuring 'Sold in UK....' text) simply using up old stock labels. These are NOT two matched up vinyls as the condition of both is just about identical MINT-/EXCELLENT+. The cover is also an example of old stock been used up as it is a 1967 MONO cover which has had a STEREO STICKER applied during 1969. The sleeve is complete with fully attached booklet and blue lyric inner sheet.
It is very rare to find a transitional press such as this with stickered sleeve. But even rarer to find one in this amazing condition.
The Matrix numbers are:
Side 1. 7YCE 18435-1 3 TR KT
Side 2. 7YCE 18434-2 1 TR KT
Side 3. 7YCE 18436-1 8 TP KT
Side 4. 7YCE 18437-1 4 HP KT
The vinyl is in MINT- condition on sides one, two, four and EXCELLENT+ condition on side three.
Both labels are in MINT- condition.
The sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition.
