Please be aware that all records are VISUALLY graded only - all grades are given based on how they appear under my desk lamp - since I do not own a record player. I cannot guarantee that discs will be click and skip free, although any marks and scratches that might possibly cause such problems will be highlighted clearly in the description.

On offer here is a copy of the Beatles UK export copy of the album, 'Hey Jude'. This is the 2nd pressing on the Dark Apple logo. This is the exceptionally rare and highly collectible error pressing that incorrectly spells the song title 'REVOLUTION' as 'REVOLUTIONS', and also has the space in the word 'PAPERBACK'.
Hey Jude was originally issued in America in 1970. EMI in the UK also ran off a small number of copies specifically for export, giving the release it's own unique EMI catalogue number, but with a C prefix, indicating a Capitol release.
Now, these dark Apple export copies are, in themselves, very difficult to find (the vast majority of copies are on the later, light Apple label). However, two errors crept onto the label during production which were very swiftly spotted and corrected. Firstly, the song 'PAPERBACK WRITER' gained an erroneous space and became 'PAPER BACK WRITER' and the song 'REVOLUTION' gained an S, becoming 'REVOLUTIONS'. Like I said, these mistakes werre almost immediately spotted and corrected, but not until a tiny amount crept past quality control.
Hey Jude was originally released in America in 1970, and EMI UK produced these copies specifically for export for foreign countries due to demand. These featured EMI / Parlophone catalogue numbers but with a C prefix at the start, indicating a Capitol release. These only had a very limited press run and, today, are highly collectible!
The original dark Apple export copies are rare in themselves, but to find them with both of these errors on the label is near impossible! This is a lovely example of the mega-rare LP and one that would look awesome in any Beatles collection!

The original, fully laminated sleeve is in a lovely condition with just a little, light wear and tear in places. The laminate on the front is beautifully clean with no dirt buildup or rubbing and has an awesome shine to it! There's just the slightest hint of disc impression and there's a few little laminate creases around the very edges. Top seam is holding perfectly. There's a small 1" or so tear on the bottom seam but it's not a split. The spine is holding perfectly with just a couple of little creases running through it. The back cover is clean with just a little laminate rubbing and a few little creases around the very edge. There's a slightly bigger crease at the bottom right just above a Dynamo sticker with 'P00-70' on it, but other than that the back is looking lovely with a great, clean shine to it. Lovely sleeve! The playing surface has a really nice shine to it and has some light scuffing, but nothing deep, heavy or serious. Looking very nice, overall!.

The labels are looking very nice! They have a lovely, rich colour to them and no rips, tears, writing, stickers etc. There's a little, light spindlewear on each label and hardly no whitening around the centrehole. Nice labels!
All records have been visually graded under a strong, 125W natural light desk lamp.
