The BEATLES UK 1988 Double LP Set release of the BEATLES - PAST MASTERS. This is an original from 1988 with the first release of many Beatles songs on a Beatles LP in UK, or US. Produced by their original master producer Sir George Martin. They took all Beatles songs and albums and released them in both countries so there would finally be continuity of album releases!! Many other albums were therefore deleted because they were redundant and “less authentic” than the UK originals!! PAST MASTERS was the final assembly of some singles and EP tracks, the Beatles first “new” album in a few. years!! This one is still produced by George Martin. Still Fantastic!! As always!! A beautiful cover! Kind of the “Black Album”. This is graded Goldmine NM because it is factory SEALED, I bought this copy SEALED!! It is UNPLAYED!! It is UNOPENED!! And this new edition was pressed with newer Parlophone labels (See photos from another site). These are BLACK vinyl copies, beautiful!! See photos 1-2 for actual sale item! Other photos are used to show the expected labels, and album info, plus some group shots just for fun!! The album is truly Near Mint!!! I’m not sure EMI will ever reissue this vinyl double LP so sealed copies are limited!! GET ONE WHILE YOU CAN!!! Classic hits here are plentiful, so many Singles, so many Number Ones: SHE LOVES YOU, I FEEL FINE, WE CAN WORK IT OUT, PAPERBACK WRITER, LADY MADONNA, HEY JUDE, GET BACK, and LET IT BE. Perhaps my favorite rarity song from this 2 LP batch is BAD BOY, one of the Beatles last covers of a rock and roll oldie!! Of course every song is a classic, even today, over 50 years later. The Beatles aimed at getting the double LP to market to fill out their catalog of songs, now every one on albums!!! And most songs on This LP were originals written by Lennon-McCartney, and George Harrison. They all still sound so fresh, with Incredible energy from the Boys as they attack your ears with superb melodies and harmonies! This is a beautiful record set, quite wonderful sounding, this would have been a huge hit album if it had been released in the 60s!! This LP is well kept factory SEALED and in plastic sleeve since its purchase by me in 1990. I quickly learned to handle them as little as possible, especially one of these “new” reissues which I thought would become rarer and greatly treasured!!
