PLEASE READ FIRST!
I'm having to make this even clearer as people are still buying records I'm grading low and as a 'collection filler', and then complain about the audio quality when they try to play them. As I do not own a record player I VISUALLY GRADE my records, so I cannotguarantee that discs will be click, skip and noise free (although any marks that may cause such problems will be highlighted in the description).
All photos are of the actual item on sale. I do not use stock or 'borrowed' images.

Very Rare BLACK Label 2nd Press!
This listing is for a very rare 2nd press copy of the Beatles debut 45 Love Me Do / PS I Love You on the Black Parlophone label.
When this single was originally released back in October 1962 it came out on the older style red Parlophone label. It did modestly in the charts, reaching 17 before dropping back down again. Soon after, after the success of the followup single Please Please Me, a debut album was hastily recorded and released in March. Around this time the labels on the Parlophone singles changed from red to black, by which time this single had long dropped out of the charts. As both songs were now already available on the album, there was no point in buying this single any more and so barely any sold, making the later black label copies expecially hard to find.
Not in the best condition, but being offered as a collection filler due to how rare and collectible these are.

Title Love Me Do / PS I Love You Year of Release 1963 Catalogue Number R 4949 Label Black Parlophone Tax Code on Disc KT in pushout centre, MPZT in deadwax at 9 o'clock Sleeve Manufacturer - Side 1 Matrix Number 1 / RH Side 2 Matrix Number 1 / RO Side 1 Stampers - Side 2 Stampers - Cover Condition The cover is in EX- condition. The company sleeve is in a nice, decent condition with no splits or tears, just a little light creasing and slight fraying at the mouthedge. A small, blue cross has been drawn on the back. Inner Sleeve Condition - Inserts Condition - Disc Condition(VISUALLY GRADED) The disc is in FAIR/GOOD condition. The disc still has a pretty nice, clean shine to it but the playing surface is covered in light scuffs and marks along with some slightly heavier looking marks. Label Condition The labels are in VG condition. Labels are clean but the LMD label has a tear in it that a previous owner has seemingly coloured in with black pen. Both labels have a little wear to them and have some light spindlewear and a touch of whitening around the centrehole.
All records have been visually graded under a strong, 125W natural light desk lamp.

All LPs will be mailed out in a strong, corrugated cardboard LP mailing box with the LP outside the sleeve and extra
sheets of corrugated cardboard will be used where applicable.
My Vinyl Grading:
MINT No true preowned disc can be mint. The highest I will ever grade a disc is NM+/M- if it looks untouched and unplayed, but the MINT description will only be for records I personally know have never been played (i.e. I personally bought from new) or for copies that are still sealed. NEAR MINT (NM) For discs that look near flawless and which may have just the slightest, barely visible little whispy marks here and there. EXCELLENT (EX) For discs that still retain a brilliant, clean shine but does have some light scuffs here and there. VERY GOOD (VG) For discs that still look clean and have a nice shine to them, but do have a fair amount of light scuffmarks and/or some light scratches. GOOD (G) For discs that look like they have been loved and have a fair amount of scuffs and surface scratches. Not in terrible condition, but would look like it would play with a lot of crackle. FAIR (F) For discs that may have some life left in them but are pretty trashed with numerous surface scuffs and heavier scuffs and scratches etc POOR (P) For discs that are unplayable and look completely trashed. Discs like this would only ever be offered if they were insanely rare.price rating
