Description

THE BEATLES

"Yesterday and Today"

(2nd State Paste-over "Butcher" cover)

(Capitol ST-2553)

If you're checking out this auction, then you probably know all about the rarity of this piece: An excellent condition Stereo 2nd state paste-over butcher cover.

FRONT: Has some very light ring wear. There is a bit more at the left where the pasteover seam is and some wear apparent at the bottom seam pasteover where the color part of the trunk picture is. I have taken a closeup of the "Ringo's V-neck" area that is a bit out of focus but still clearly shows the underlying butcher picture.

BACK: Generally some light overall ring wear. There are two very small stains, one at top right and one at lower right, and a small mark at upper left. Otherwise just a little foxing. Back cover has the number "3" which I believe denotes a Scranton, PA pressing.

SEAMS: Very solid seams all around except for a split about 2 inches at lower right at the mouth (see picture). The other three corners are pretty crisp.

LP: A first pressing rainbow label in VG+ condition with mostly light sleeve scratches. Original "Capitol '66" inner sleeve included.

The LP will be carefully double boxed to avoid any damage in transit.

Please feel free to email with any questions.
