The BEATLES 45, SUPER-RARE earliest BEATLES single from CANADA, on iconic CAPITOL Orange-Yellow Swirl labels. Believed From 1964, not 1963! This was one of the few countries to release this single in 1963, before worldwide Beatlemania!! But this has higher matrix final number, both sides are #4. THIS IS ONE OF ONLY SIX WORLDWIDE 45 SINGLE RELEASES OF THIS A SIDE GEM: LOVE ME DO (The 1962 Ringo on drums early UK single version) plus the Classic PS I LOVE YOU. Both are wonderful McCartney vocals!! Incredibly brilliant for his first EMI vocals, done at age 20!! This pairing came from the first Beatles UK single of October 1962!! The replacement version LOVE ME DO (‘63), (Andy White on drums version) was first issued in 1963 on the original release of the Beatles first LP: PLEASE PLEASE ME. The 1963 version is minimally different with only a few ways to tell, but it is a totally alternate recording!! The 1963 version was the common worldwide album cut and on most singles thereafter!! The 1962 Ringo Love Me Do version was issued on only one album from the 60s that I know of, (ask me which!!). The “original” 1962 Ringo version was only released in the 60s from UK, Germany, Canada, Holland, India, and Peru!!! The 1962 version is slightly slower and :03 longer. A few other technical differences! The ONLY later Worldwide repressing was US Capitol Cema release in 1992, on both Red and Black vinyl!! Back to this sale item, The Goldmine condition of this rarity is EX!! My highest rating!!! Maybe a scuff or mark but none effecting play. BOTH SIDES PLAY THRU WELL, NO clicks and the music is loud anyway. Fully shiny, and clean labels, one scrape on B Side! Still quite lovely! For me EX is my best grade, Collectable, Proud to own! MOST OF THESE “ORIGINAL NINE” CANADA CAPITOL BEATLES SINGLES ARE HARD TO FIND. AND SOME ARE GETTING QUITE RARE!! I only see this Love Me Do ‘62 single a few times a year! Here, both A and B matrix wax number ends in “-4” with the “dash number” normally signifying a later and later pressings of a million selling record!! The higher number from late 1964, the lower numbers from early 1964! This is a later 1964 pressing, No Doubt!! These old 60s singles were made tough to hold up to high humidity and lots of wear and tear. These 2 songs are originally from Fall 1962, but first issued in Canada in 1963, then massively reissued in 1964 as Beatlemania ruled the World!! Both songs are MONO, no Stereo version of either song exists worldwide!!! They were lost, or never made!!! All modern versions are remade from copying Mint records!!!
