The BEATLES 45 rpm vinyl record. This is one of the Beatles Japan original Odeon Black label singles from 60s. Vinyl Condition is Goldmine EX. My highest grade. Great vinyl, mostly shiny, a scuff or two, both labels clean, no writing. Rare to see any defaced labels from Japan. Well known for having the best vinyl records in the world, almost always in EX condition, even these original Odeon labels from 1964! They play great and look great. Sometimes the sleeves get beaten up. Sleeve not perfect but a very nice VG+, great for 55 years old, several wrinkles. But No writing by prior owners. Note the price indicator on cover is 330 Yen! The lowest Beatles sale price from Japan! It indicates a First Press!! Most copies of Odeon Beatles were Black Wax. They were all also issued on Red Wax. And some Red Wax Beatles Odeon singles sell for $1000!! I’ve had a few but getting that whole set takes time and Yen!! This one is the standard Odeon (Black Label) Black wax version. And this comes with a VG+ Picture Sleeve with lyrics on the inside, and standard Toshiba inner sleeve. More wrinkles than I can call EX. It’s still an awesome item overall!! The prices vary greatly on these original Japan Odeon Beatles singles, 43 total, I think, from normal ($25-50) to unbelievable ($500-1000). Some pressings of early Beatles singles are quite rare, some had 2 or 3 pressings with different Picture Sleeves! Took me about 5 years to find them all!! Black Vinyl Odeon’s are usually Very Lightly played, usually just collected!! JAPAN issued most Beatles singles on Odeon till 1968, and then on Apple in line with UK, from 1968 to 1975, and ....Japan EMI issued many extra singles not issued elsewhere. Including this one!!! About 43 total on Odeon in the 60s. (US Capitol only issued 30!!). Then up to 50 total on Apple into the 70s. Originally I purchased them in my search for Worldwide Stereo Beatles singles. These 2 songs: KANSAS CITY and I’LL FOLLOW THE SUN are MONO as are all original Japan Odeon singles. Kansas City is worldwide common (as are all standard US and UK singles). STEREO became common on 45s in 1969, by then Japan Beatles singles were on Apple! Most US Capitol reissues stayed Mono, but not all, many are in Stereo if you play test them!!
