THE VINYL: VERY GOOD+
HAS MANY HAIRLINES AND A FEW MILD SCUFFS AND SCRATCHES (ONE NOTICEABLE BUT NOT FEELABLE), BUT IT PLAYS EXTREMELY WELL WITH NO STICKS OR JUMPS, IT DOES HOWEVER HAVE OCCASSIONAL CLICKS AND SOME CRACKLES ONLY REALLY PROMINENT IN BETWEEN TRACKS. HAS SOME WRITING ('JB') AND A LABEL MARK/RESIDUE ON THE LABEL. HAS SPINDLE MARKS AND SOME SPINDLE WEAR.
THE COVER: VERY GOOD+
HAS NO REAL DAMAGE OR WEAR BUT HAS SOME LAMINATE CREASES ON THE FRONT OF SLEEVE MAINLY TO EDGES. SELLOTAPE RESIDUE ON OPENING EDGES, SOME WRITING (John C Burr has written his name twice), MINIMAL EDGE WEAR. MINOR LAMINATE LIFT. SOME AGEING ON REAR SLEEVE (THROUGH 60 YEARS OF HANDLING) AND A COUPLE OF OTHER SOFT MARKS. MINOR CORNER WEAR, MINOR EDGE WEAR, NO SPINE WEAR AND IT IS COMPLETELY READABLE. FLIPBACKS ARE COMPLETE AND SECURE AND HAVE A FEW MINOR CEASES. A DECENT SLEEVE.
THE INNER SLEEVE: VERY GOOD+
Original Emitex inner sleeve some creasing, ageing stains (mainly discolouration through ageing). No edge splits, writin ('JB' on both sides). No rips or splits.

Grading System: I have used Record Collector magazine set of standards for the condition of second-hand records. I have added a (+) or (-) to my gradings where applicable.
I grade all records in accordance with the Rare Record Price Guide (see above). However, if you feel I have graded your record incorrectly please email me ASAP so we can resolve the problem amicably.
RECORD COLLECTOR Grading System
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint. (NOTE: As far as I am concerned, MINT will never apply to second hand vinyl records).
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
Post & Packaging - I recycle all packaging so you will get your goods in recycled packaging / cardboard container. All items over £20 are insured and sent 'Signed For' or ‘Tracked 48’ and I always obtain a 'Certificate of Posting' for cheaper items. All items are securely and properly packaged and vinyl is sent using double corrugated cardboard stiffeners.
