Description
Original Beatles "A Hard Day's Night" United Artists UAL 3366 LP. Released 26 June 1964 before the "A Hard Day's Night" UA movie was released. This copy has the original labels and cover with the "I Cry Instead" error instead of the correct "I'll Cry Instead". Cover and LP are Spizer version UA 3366.MR1A. The record was pressed by Columbia Records which was one of the outside manufacturers for UA since UA didn't press their own records. The cover is MC2 ( "This Boy" and "I Cry Instead" credited to Maclen Music, Inc. and UNART Music Corp. BMI).
This copy is visually graded at VG+ 70 (cover) and VG 50 (record) using the visual grading standards of the Cox/Daniels "Price Guide For The Beatles American Records" (6th edition). See my various photos of the cover and record.
Cover is in nice shape with some minor wear mostly to the rear but no ring wear. Some minor rear slick creasing exists at the top corners but not in the actual cardboard. A small amount of horizontal 'waviness' exists in the rear slick as well for unknown reason. Some very minor corner bumps. No writing, no water stains, no taped seams, no ring wear, and no mold.
Record has some normal wear (minor rubs and scratches) as well but no scratches cause any skips. No writing on the labels.
A nice piece of rock and roll history.Album will be shipped in a rigid cardboard mailer for protection. Payment is due within 3 days of the auction's end.
