Description
Up for auction is a copy of A Hard Day’s Night, by The Beatles, released in 1964 on Parlophone, cat no PCS 3058, a UK stereo edition. This is a pressing from circa 1970, featuring two EMI boxes on the label & Gramophone co rim text, but still housed in a G&L flipback cover (with no stereo logo on the top right hand corner). It certainly feels like a 60s pressing, having the weight & inflexibility of earlier pressings. And, remarkably, it’s pressed from the same masters as the very first copies off the press, featuring -1 master numbers on both sides of the vinyl (YEX 126-1 & YEX 127-1).
Condition: looks unplayed, though I can spot a couple of spindle trails on each side. Very well cared for nonetheless. Cover has a little minor wear, but nothing objectionable: no writing, tears, creases, splits etc. M-/EX (vinyl/cover). Original EMI inner sleeve also included!
My grades: I use a 10-point scale: M-; EX; VG+; VG; VG-; G+; G; G-; F (fair); P (poor). I never use mint as a grade for used records. I am a long-time (25+ years!) record collector, and play-grade where possible. I don’t use stock photos: the item in pictured here is the item for sale. My feedback from b).uyers indicates I normally undergrade in listings. Even so, if you have any problems, I'll give you your money back (less shipping costs), no questions asked. Buy with confidence!
