This great record plays up to the high visual grading and beyond . Lovely clear, Strong, undistorted sound free of any loud pops or clicks.  the Channels are clean and unstressed. The record plays with staggering power, with a minimum of surface sound during the tracks.

Great audio with minimal interference to distract form the overly enjoyment of this great record, there is some light static in quiet areas, but hardly any surface noise between the tracks

The music jumps out, with definition and clarity, particularly on the percussion instruments, and vocals which come through with tremendous power. As is the same with the bass guitar and drums, whilst the guitars come through crisp and clear. Only slight issue I heard were couple of light pops and some repeat light clicks at the start of 'Something,' but apart from that it is clear of any further clicks or pops and sounds great!

THE RECORD - VERY GOOD PLUS 

A lovely piece of glossy vinyl. Some faint hairlines and handing marks. A really nice example

Although Let it Be was the last Beatles album to be released Abbey Road was the last to be recorded. George Harrison blossomed into a major songwriter, contributing the buoyant Here Comes the Sun and the supremely melodic Something, which later became the first solo hit for the group that wasn't a Lennon-McCartney composition. The genesis of the album was a Paul McCartney suggestion to producer George Martin that the Beatles get together and make an album "just like the old days...just like we used to". The two sides are quite different in character, apparently to please both John Lennon and Paul McCartney individually - side 1 (to please Lennon) is a collection of single tracks, while side 2 (to please McCartney) contains one long medley of short compositions that segue together.

The track I Want You (She's So Heavy) is the second-longest released Beatles song (7 mins), behind Revolution (9 mins). It also features one of the earliest uses of a Moog synthesizer. The chords in Because are based on Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata. The song Octopus's Garden, while written by Ringo Starr, was almost totally re-written in the studio by George Harrison, but credit still went to Ringo. The climax of the album is a sixteen-minute medley, consisting of several short songs, both finished and unfinished. Her Majesty was originally part of the medley, but Paul didn't like it so had the medley re-edited to remove it. However, an engineer placed it at the end of the medley after 20 seconds of silence. The Beatles liked this random effect and left it on the album. On some versions (like this one) the song isn't listed and so it might be considered as the first true hidden track on an album - it lasts for 23 seconds.

VINYL SOUND - Please Note:

Top quality vinyl with clear sound is rare, and is what I always aim for. Even with the cleanest copies you will find occasional static sound during playback, caused by a build of dust in the grooves. This is clearly different from the distortion, loud pops or clicks that are found on heavily played and worn pieces of vinyl. Any static build up will reduce when played, and I advise a light clean should be given between plays for optimal performance.

THE COVER – EXCELLENT -

This is a pretty strong cover too. The Spines on Abbey Road are nearly always flattened, worn and un readable. This one is flattened, but the spine is completely in tact as is the text. As these delicate covers were made out of relatively light card, they usually suffer from serious ring wear. This one does have an impression of the vinyl and some very light ring wear, but it is lovely example, and any wear is relatively light. The front and back have a lovely sheen

There is some light scuffing to the corners, and some light laminate creasing. The opening edges are very square and un frayed. The back cover is nice and clean, with only light ring wear, a small laminate crack at the top right hand corned, and a crease on the left, shown in the images.

A great solid example. All round, this is a nice cover!!!

THE LABELS - EXCELLENT CONDITION

Famous Apple labels are in EXCELLENT Condition. All the ink is completely intact, no marks or writing, just some spindle traces.

Comes with black inner sleeve, as new. EXCELLENT condition, No wear around the die cut openings, and NO wear at the top. Crisp and Clean.

RARITY

A FIRST PRESS copy in this type of condition is scarce. The vinyl is so often played so much, heavily marked, scratched, with noisy, poor and distorted sound. Any FIRST PRESS examples with a record in this type of condition, that plays great, is very rare.

The cover is almost impossible to find without serious wear, even modestly worn examples are scarce and this one is one of the better examples. Finding a nice cover and vinyl with all complete first press original parts, fantastic!.

MINT: Virtually unplayed. The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. Cover is pristine.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

V.G PLUS: The record will still be nice and shiny, but may have a few light marks, and will play well. Slight wear and tear on the cover.

V.G: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, etc.
