Description
THE BEATLES - ABBEY ROAD
1969 UK APPLE PCS - 7088 ( -1 (&) -2)
The vinyl plays & sounds mostly excellent, & the audio quality still sounds great throughout. The vinyl surfaces do have some light hairlines, & a few other light surface marks, & there Is a long visible very light top surface mark on side 1, It spans across the first 3 tracks, but It Is so light, that It doesn't seem to have any affect on play at all. Side 1 plays & sounds great, with very little crackle & pop. Side 2 Is almost the same, but there Is a small mild hairline scratch on 'Sun King', the marks causes some light repeated tics, & just a few more even lighter tics on the next track, apart from that, just the odd light click & light background crackle. Still, a very decent playing / sounding original uk first pressing.
The labels are In excellent clean condition, with some visible spindle traces, when tilted towards brighter light. The label of side -2 has no mention of the very last very very short track 'Her Majesty'. A giveaway, that this Is a very early first pressing.
The fully laminated single sleeve, was made & printed In the UK by 'Garrod & Lofthouse International Ltd'. This cover Is still In very good shape. Clean, front & back, with just a few small lamination creases / shifts, nothing too bad at all. The top & bottom edges, & spine are In nice shape, no bad wear, & no seem splits, & the spine text Is still nice & clear, & easy to read. The small green Apple In the back / bottom / left corner, Is misaligned with the text, another giveaway, that this Is a early very first Issue.
The white paper Inner sleeve, Is clean, with no rips or seem splits.
I will only send this Item by recorded post. I pack my records very well. The Item will reach you In the same condition as advertised & pictured.
