The Beatles contributed 4 new songs to the Yellow Submarine animated film project: these two, plus a couple of George's throwaways (It's All Too Much and It's Only A Northern Song). The Boys were distinctly unenthusiastic about the project (until they actually saw the picture; then they loved it). They didn't think much of any of the four tunes, but of course their trash was better than most bands' treasure. John's Hey Bulldog is now considered one of their better rockers from this period.
