Here is another gem from my own mostly Nr Mint personal collection (which I am selling off gradually to lessen the pain...) I have been collecting very rare vinyl for a long time now. As a collector, I have been very critical about the condition of the records I have chosen to buy over the years, and only selected the most pristine 1st pressings from all around the UK. My collection is therefore filled with not only the rarest UK 1st pressings, but also records of the highest grade quality condition, some of the best you will probably ever come across. Sadly, most now have to find new homes. As I said, I am very strict with my grading, so when I describe a record as Nr Mint - you can rest assured that it will be a true Nr Mint record (I never grade any records as Mint because Mint does not exist in the world of vintage vinyl - in my opinion, as soon as the record has been taken home from the store it is no longer mint!!)
You are bidding on a beautiful earliest 1970 UK 1st pressing of one of the most sought-after Beatles records of all time; The Legendary 'Let It Be Box Set'!!! However what makes this particular copy ever rarer is that it is the earliest possible UK 1st pressing with the rare Patents Pending' text on the back of the outer laminated slip-case sleeve!!! What's more it is fully complete with Original 'Dark Apple Label' vinyl, 'Red Apple' Logo sleeve with original 'narrow spine', white patents inner sleeve, black card under-tray, Garrod & Lofthouse thickly laminated outer slip-case cover and the 'Get Back' book housed in a black tray!!! Finally, it is in AMAZING condition throughout which is so rare for these box sets, as when they usually turn up they are very tatty and split with parts missing. This one is NOT - it is 100% complete and is in amazing condition and has had NO 'repair' work done to it (like so many others)!!! Please read on for a full description and do not miss this one as it is one of the very best examples of this rare record that you will see!!!

As you'd expect, the cool 1st press dark Apple centre labels are in Stunning condition!!! There are NO Rubs. NO lifting or Bubbling, NO unwanted writing/scribbles, just the normal spindle lines that are invisible unless holdingthe record angled toward strong light!!! The labels retain all they original whiteness with no yellowing or grubbiness!!! The gramophone rims containing the all important 1st press matrix are also Mint-.
The first thing you notice about this record is its incredible thickness and weight (it is super heavy!) Importantly, the vinyl is also in superb condition - Most of these Apple Box Set pressings were played to death in the 70's and on the rare occasions they turn up today it is usually full of scratches and gouges with a dull sheen and totally worn out. This one is NOT and the record stills retains a STUNNING just-pressed sheen, it has survived superbly and is certainly one of the BEST original stereo Apple copies I have seen!!! The record just has one or two almost invisible paper-lines which are simply caused by removing the record from its inner sleeve, these are purely superficial and in no way effect the playing if this superb record!!! The disc still retains ALL its original gloss and shine and has NO dulling and NO nasty greying of the grooves!!! It really is a beautiful looking example of this rare record, they just never turn up like this anymore!!! This disc must PROPERLY grade Excellent+!!! Believe me this record is NOT over-graded in ANY way!!! It is impossible to find UK 1st press copies of this record that look like this anymore!!!
Thick Chunky 1st Press Vinyl
1st Press Dark Apple Labels
Red Apple Logo on back of Sleeve
White Patents Inner Sleeve
Thickly Laminated 1st Press Slip-Case Cover
1st Press Glossy Booklet
Black Tray & Back Panel
The classic TRUE 1st press thickly laminated Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve is in tremendous condition - it has the correct 'red apple' logo on the reverse side (beware - the red apple logo sleeve is the ONLY sleeve that came with the UK pressed Let It Be Box Set, - if you see a Box Set offered with a green apple logo on the reverse side then it did not originally come with the box set) Rest assured this is the correct sleeve and what's more, it is also in absolutely stunning condition!!! The sleeve is in STUNNING condition with NO Discolouration, NO Stains, NO Scribbles NO Tears/Rips/Nicks and NO unwanted writing of any kind!!! It retains ALL of its original stiffness. The laminate is also the best I have ever seen, it visibly glistens and looks almost 'wet' in appearance!!! The edges and spine are MINT - That's right, NO edge or spine wear at all! The laminated back is also PRISTINE with no marks or grubbyness AT ALL!!! Impossible for this sleeve!! There are just one or two tiny laminated ceases as you would expect and that's it!!! This sleeve easily grades as EX+!!! As I mentioned previously, please rest assured that this is in no way over-graded, what you are getting here is the real deal. I adhere strictly to record collector grading standards. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ORIGINAL RED APPLE LOGO BOX SET SLEEVES IN THIS CONDITION ANYMORE!!! Of course it comes comes complete with its Original correct UK 1st press 'patents' text white inner sleeve - which, again, is in stunning superb Ex condition, nice and white with no writing or nasty creases and no separation of the inner poly-lining. Beautiful!!
The thickly laminated 1st press outer slip-cover is SUPERB and retains all of its glossy laminated sheen. The 1st Press Outside 'Patents Pending' Laminated Slip-Case is in STUNNING condition and for once it retains virtually ALL of its factory laminate finish (it does NOT have the usual 'glazed' and 'dulled' look so often seen with these covers)!!!! It still retains ALL of its original stunning box shape - with flat vertical sides and a nice FLAT surfaces!!!! There is NO crushing and NO inward curving either!!!! The laminate has a STUNNING shine to it which is VERY hard to find on this Box Set!!!! It has NO laminate lifting ANYWHERE, only ONE light laminate crease to the front top right corner, and the edges are VERY straight indeed!!!! There is a tiny 3mm scuff on the bottom edge but it really is tiny and hardly worth mentioning. Even the corners are in SUPERB condition - with only the very lightest corner wear (NOT through the colour)!!!! Please note, unlike recent copies that have been sold here on eBay - this one has had NO nasty repair jobs done to it and has NO tape marks etc. It is a 100% sturdy slip-cover in superb unblemished condition!!!
The tray and back panel of the box are also in absolutely in STUNNING condition. In fact they are the best I have ever seen!!! Remember these trays were only made of card and had to house the thick heavy Let It Be booklets!!! Therefore, they are virtually always split and tatty to the verge of actually falling apart!!! Not this one, it is the sturdiest looking tray and back panel I have ever seen!! It has only the most minimal wear and the flaps have no rips or heavy creasing (just a very, very light small crease at the top of the right-hand flap). The black panel also looks superb. it has not rubbed like most others and also has no nasty creases rips or tears. I must emphasis that this tray and back panel (the whole album for that matter) is 100% sturdy with no flaws has had NO repairs or tape damage to them, unlike others that have been sold recently on eBay - this is as sturdy as they come, nice and solid throughout and fully undamaged!!! To recap: this is the sturdiest looking back panel and tray I have seen on a Let It Be Box Set - I strongly doubt that you will see another in this condition for a very long time.
The rare Let It Be Booklet is the best I have seen. It has none of the usual creases & rips etc. The cover has retained all of its laminates shine and all the pages are unmarked and retain 100% full glossy shine. One page has come loose but the book remains nice and sturdy with a good strong binding. It easily grades as Very Good+!!!

Postage ... Hazey Jane has absolutely NO hidden surcharges; the price you win is the price you pay, just add the relevant postage, it's as simple as that! We always combine postage so if you win more than 1 auction you save money on postage costs! We will only ship to non-UK countries via Airmail - we do not use surface mail, it is way too slow and thus increases the risk of records being damaged during transit.
A little note about insurance - Please read carefully... If the value of your record(s) is over £30, your invoice will include an insured option. Being the responsible adults you are, it is entirely up to you to take this up - we strongly advise you to do this but will not hassle you about it. You either add the required insurance or you don't. If you do add the required insurance and your record is lost/damaged, you will get a refund. If you don't add the required insurance and your record is lost/damaged, you will not get a refund. Can we be any clearer? I think not.

Refunds & Feedback ... Please read this carefully ... We try to give you the best quality examples of rare records available. However, there will always be somebody out there whose expectations far exceed UK record collector grading standards. If you are in anyway unsatisfied with your record or our grading of it please refer to the UK Record Collector Grading Chart very carefully BEFORE emailing us. We strictly adhere to it and will only offer refunds (minus the postage AND our eBay costs) if we are satisfied that we have fallen below UK record collector grading standards. This will very rarely, if ever, happen. We will not be impressed with buyers disputing our gradings without even bothering to check the UK record collector grading standards chart first - you have been warned ...
Buyers who continually Haggle, Whine and Moan to try to decrease the price they won their auctions for will be blocked from bidding on future auctions and can toodle off down to HMV or Virgin where they can harass the counter staff there.
We will always leave feedback upon receipt of feedback. In an ideal world we would like to leave feedback as soon as the record has been shipped but due to feedback blackmail in the past (i,e, ",,,I want a partial refund or I will leave negative feedback") we have opted to take this measure. Contact must be made within 3 days of winning the auction. If payment has not been received after 10 days a non paying bidder alert will be placed. If payment is then not received within 7 days Negative feedback WILL be left and the buyer WILL be given a strike by eBay. Thanks for reading.
