AUTHENTIC BEATLES BUTCHER COVER STEREO

YESTERDAY AND TODAY ALBUM,

 PEELED, 3RD STATE

The original Butcher cover for The Beatles Yesterday and Today album was created in England as a "pop art" satire, but the copies distributed in the U. S. were quickly withdrawn by Capitol Records.  Today, the Butcher cover is one of the most sought after Beatles collectibles.

Because most recordings in 1966 were Mono, the Stereo Butcher Album is 5-8 times more difficult to find than the Mono version.  The paste-over for this Butcher cover was peeled off more carefully than most, leaving only 3 white spots at the bottom.  There is a little glue residue around the edges, and one wrinkle, but you have to look closely to see it.

This is a #5 LA Printing, with bold and lifelike colors on John, Paul, George, and Ringo.

A copy of the recall letter dated June 14, 1966 is included with this album.

The record, which has been kept inside the jacket, is in good condition for its age, though there is a scratch on one side.

The bottom of the spine is split all the way across and was previously taped, and the top has a 1" split and is worn.  The corners are worn, as well. The back of the cover has initials, tape marks, and foxing.

Please review the pictures for condition.

Stereo Butcher cover albums are difficult to find.  This would be a great addition to your collection of Beatles memorabilia.

Album will be shipped securely packed in a box.  Shipping insurance is included in Shipping & Handling fee.
