If you've been looking for a genuine and authentic 3rd State (peeled) Butcher Cover of a higher grade that you will be proud to display, then this might be for you ! This offering comes complete with the removed trunk slick. Please view the photos and compare with other peels on the web in this price range.
Unlike most offerings on the net, this is a better than average jacket that is free of major condition issues (see details below in the condition section). Any issues are minor and described below. The back is also very clean with only very minor evidence of aging, spotting etc. These correctly peeled Mono jackets are much harder to come by in such displayable condition. 
Although it is sad each week to see more and more recently poorly peeled covers go up for sale, the good news is that jackets such as this that present well with a framable Trunk Slick are only increasing in value as more and more get destroyed each week by amateur peel attempts.

While the market is currently getting flooded with overhyped/over-graded peels with large obvious large scars/damage/paper residue etc, the good news for buyers is that this is one of the better examples out there of a Scranton Stereo Peel.

Condition: 
Front of Jacket:

Front Peeled Butcher Slick is awesome and presents nicely from a professional peeling process. Capitol glue lines from the trunk adhesive process are light and don't interfere or overpower the overall look of this peel. The only minor issue with the front is a very tiny abrasion at the very bottom of the butcher slick where the Butcher Slick meets the bottom white border on the very bottom of the bench beneath John Lennon almost directly under his pointed finger. This in no way seriously affects overall beautiful look of this piece.

Seams: 
Top seam is complete. Bottom seam is mostly complete with a small section of a few inches on the end of that seam that has been neatly reinforced (see photos of bottom seam and inside of jacket in that area). To protect the integrity of the seams and avoid future damage, a record should never be placed or stored in this jacket. This album jacket is nearly 60 years old and should be protected accordingly.
Spine: 
Spine also complete with all printing legible. Small paper crack near the catalog number at the end of the spine. (See Spine photos).
Back Of Jacket:  
The back of the jacket is fairly clean with only very light aging/stains. (See photo of back)
Trunk Slick: 
Removed trunk slick is included in framable condition as shown with some minor wrinkling wear, tear and repair from the peeling process. 
Record/Inner Sleeve: 
Comes complete with Mono East Coast mono pressing in G visual condition. Correct East Coast Goldenrod CAPITOL INNER SLEEVE with this record that is decent but displays a typical side and bottom splits of a few inches. Record will come stored in a stock white inner sleeve .

This item has been through a laborious process from the 2nd state to what you see here, and as such, the grading is unique on this item.This cannot be graded like a comic book or a baseball card due to the fact that this jacket has twice been altered from its original state, once by the paste over process at the Capitol Factory and likewise by the peeling process. Any minor imperfections are from either process. The photos speak for themselves and we do our best to accurately grade these historic artifacts.
