If you've been looking for a genuine and authentic 3rd State (peeled) Stereo Butcher Cover of that you will be proud to display but don't want to drop 2k or more, then this might be for you ! These STEREO jackets are at least five times as rare as their mono counterparts but some say 10 times as rare. At any rate, mono was still the more produced designation in 1966 as far as Beatles records go. Please view the photos and specific condition description and compare with other peels on the web in this price range. See last photo for jacket prior to peel.  Unlike most offerings on the net (see details below in the condition section), these nicely peeled STEREO jackets are much harder to come by in such displayable condition. While there are a few physical condition issues mostly related to the seams and back of the jacket, this piece still presents well overall and can be purchased for a far lower price than these usually sell for.
Although it is sad each week to see more and more recently poorly peeled covers go up for sale, the good news is that jackets such as this that present well with a framable Trunk Slick are only increasing in value as more and more get destroyed each week by amateur peel attempts.

Condition:  Front of Jacket:
Front Peeled Butcher Slick presents nicely from a professional peeling process. Capitol factory glue lines from the trunk slick adhesive process are light and don't interfere or overpower the overall look of this peel. There is a small abrasion/touched up spot in the extreme lower left hand corner near John's knee (see close up photo) that appears to be some sort of wear spot or perhaps where a former owner took a peek under the trunk slick.

Seams:  Top seam shows several inches throughout of splitting that was neatly repaired (see close up photo of inside of jacket).  complete and un-split. Top seam is half un-split with some slight chipping/splitting of the last half of the top seam. Bottom seam also mostly split and repaired. To protect the integrity of the seams and avoid future damage, a record should never be placed or stored in this jacket. This album jacket is nearly 60 years old and should be protected accordingly.
Spine:  Spine is mostly complete with all printing legible with some tanning/checking and about an inch at the bottom of the spine of missing paper. (See Spine photos).
Back Of Jacket:   The back of the jacket shows average wear with some tape stains on bottom and side. (See photo of back)
Trunk Slick:  Removed trunk slick is included in framable condition as shown with some wrinkling, wear, tear and repair from the peeling process. 
Record/Inner Sleeve:  Comes complete with STEREO East Coast mono pressing in G visual condition (tons of light sleeve scratches scuffs etc but nothing too tragic. Has been played on an Audio Technica AT- LP120XBT turntable and plays through better than it looks without skipping or major trouble or disturbances. Correct East Coast Goldenrod CAPITOL INNER SLEEVE with this record in nice condition with some typical splits. Record will come in an archival quality anti static sleeve.

This item has been through a laborious process from the 2nd state to what you see here, and as such, the grading is unique on this item.This cannot be graded like a comic book or a baseball card due to the fact that this jacket has twice been altered from its original state, once by the paste over process at the Capitol Factory and likewise by the peeling process. Any minor imperfections are from either process. The photos speak for themselves and we do our best to accurately grade these historic artifacts.
