If you've been looking for a genuine and authentic more rare Stereo Capitol 1966 3rd State (peeled) Butcher Cover complete with the Removed Trunk Slick without having to spend 2 or 3k, then this might be for you ! These are known to be 5 to 10 times more scarce than their mono counterparts. This offering comes complete with the vinyl and original inner sleeve. This would look great framed together with the trunk slick.

Condition: 
Front of Jacket:
Decent looking peel overall. There is a myth out there that all Scranton PA Butcher Covers are easy peels. Not so,especially with the Stereo versions. This appears to be one of those where the trunk slick was solidly attached with a good quantity of that gunky glue used to adhere those particular trunk slicks. As a result, there is some glue residue visible on this one. Regardless, this still presents better than 95% of the peels you see offered on the internet. This is priced accordingly and the peel is very respectable in this price range.

Seams: 
Top and bottom seams exhibit several inches of splitting that appears to have been neatly secured to prevent further spread. (See close up photos of top and bottom seams). Further, there appears to be some neat touch up on the top border where the paper had chipped and a bit of top right hand corner ding/loss of paper (see close up of that photo). To protect the integrity of the seams and avoid future damage, a record should never be placed or stored in this jacket. This album jacket is nearly 60 years old and should be protected accordingly.
Spine: 
The spine shows some chipping and splitting with some paper missing. (See close up spine photos).
Back Of Jacket:  
The back of the jacket shows light wear/moderate tanning and a few small missing paper chips but nothing too severe (no writing, tears etc). (See photo of back)
Trunk Slick: 
Trunk slick is included and is in framable condition with wrinkling, wear, tear and repair (see photos of removed trunk slick).
Record/Inner Sleeve: 
Comes complete with Stereo East Coast mono pressing in VG+ visual condition (light paper scuffs and scratches). Plays through more like EX and is an enjoyable play without any major disturbance. Correct East Coast Goldenrod CAPITOL INNER SLEEVE included in decent condition with just a few inches of splitting on the bottom of the inner sleeve. Record will come stored in a mo fi style inner sleeve and white cardboard jacket.

This item has been through a laborious process from the 2nd state to what you see here, and as such, the grading is unique on this item.This cannot be graded like a comic book or a baseball card due to the fact that this jacket has twice been altered from its original state, once by the paste over process at the Capitol Factory and likewise by the peeling process. Any minor imperfections (ie: Glue Residue from Trunk Slick application in 1966, touch up ,etc) are from either process. The photos speak for themselves and we do our best to accurately grade these historic artifacts.
