This is a 100% ORIGINAL AUTHENTIC 1970 PROMOTIONAL FAN CLUB-ONLY CHRISTMAS LP.
This original authentic cover has sharp images. In the lower left photo of Ringo, both of his eyeballs are clearly visible. Clearly read "Theatre Royal" above the heads of Paul and John on the bottom second photo from left demonstrating the authenticity of the album. Fake copies have slightly distorted photos...this copy has clear photos.
MONO issue with BELL SOUND stamper in dead wax.
Manufactured by Apple on bottom of label--no Capitol mention.
RARE AUTHENTIC PRESSING.
ADDITIONALLY, this album came from a writer who worked two blocks from the Captiol Building in Los Angeles in the 1970s and routinely was HANDED promotional LPs and 45s. This is one of those albums. Further proof this is an ORIGINAL.
Vinyl has some light surface marks, mostly from sleeve, holding grade down--very close to VG++.
Cover has edgewear, cornerwear, small ding lower right, some fingering here and there.
Labels are excellent.
MORE PROOF: Label "groove ring" is small and close to center hole, fakes had this ring much further to the outside of label.
Cover and labels read “Not For Sale”.
ADDED INFO: In December 1970, in the wake of the band's break-up, the UK fan-club sent out a compilation LP of all seven recordings, entitled "From Then To You". The master tapes having been mislaid, the LP was mastered from copies of the original flexi discs. In the US, the LP was repackaged as "The Beatles' Christmas Album". Album was released Dec. 1, 1970 and sent out by the fan-club around springtime 1971. With no new recording, the LP served to remind that the Beatles were no more, but had the advantage of durability over the original flexi discs, and, for the US, it was the first time the 1964 and 1965 messages had been made available.

GRADING
Here is the standard Planetary Sounds grades records by (with help from Goldmine).
Remember, even with such a guide, grading is still subjective. Albums are visually graded under bright lights, though this is still not a perfect method may not reveal deeper flaws. Occasionally, albums are play graded--which will be noted in the listing. Please ask questions if unsure about anything BEFORE you bid.
Still Sealed (SS) As good as it gets. Unopened and most likely perfect all around.
Mint (M) Absolutely perfect in every way. Probably played once. Handled with utmost care.
Near Mint (NM or M-) A nearly perfect record. The record shows no obvious signs of wear. Covers show no more than the most minor defects. The same holds true for inserts, such as posters, lyric sleeves, etc.
Near Mint Minus or Very Good Plus Plus (NM- or VG++) Just a hair more wear than NM, but still very close to Near Mint overall. Vinyl may have nominal sleeve or paper scuffs, cover may have hint of wear. VG++ will be just a fraction below NM- due to one additional tiny defect.
Very Good Plus (VG+) Album and cover show some light signs that it was played and otherwise handled with care of it. Record surfaces may have slight surface scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect play. If not for a couple things wrong with it, this would be Near Mint.
Very Good (VG) Increased scuffs or light scratches, surface noise evident upon playing. Covers and labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers, or minor seam splits.
