PLEASE READ THIS INFORMATION
This is an authentic Fan Club issue of the Beatles Christmas Record which features the bands' yearly recordings (generally recorded after other sessions, and frequently partying). These recordings were issued on floppy discs and 45's to the members of the UK and US Fan Clubs each year from 1963 to 1969 and all of them are on this set in their entirety.  A lot of sellers do not know when they have counterfeit copies and I will now clear the air for all who care.

In years past sellers gave a few criteria as proof of true original pressings, most, if not all have been reproduced by counterfeiters, they included a BELL SOUND stamper in the dead wax, a wider label set on the LP, the exact measurements of the printed title of the album on the labels, the photo on the front lower left corner which shows the fabs standing in front of a theater...if you can see the name on the marquee it was real....there are a couple of others but only ONE way (that has not been successfully reproduced by counterfeiters) to tell the real thing.

The ring between the spindle hole and the outer edge of the labels must be a small circle approximately 1 inch out from the hole or a diameter of roughly 2 inches.  If the record has a larger ring it is a fake.  All of the originals were pressed in a single run on one machine, this machine cut a small ring groove around the spindle hole.  This set has the smaller ring and I acquired this set from the Fan Club in 1970 after joining in 1969....better late than never.

VINYL is VISUALLY GRADED EXCELLENT and PLAY RATED NEAR MINT  pretty clean vinyl with only light paper scuffing and some very light scuffs from other sources over time.  The record plays very clean, with no jumps, skips or background noise to impede playback.  It should be known that these yearly tributes were lost in their master form and that the recordings were transferred from Bettina Rose's Fan Club singles (Bettina was the President of the Fan Club) so there is some crackle and noise in the actual recordings from the floppy discs and 45's in her collection.

JACKET is EXCELLENT  A nice, clean jacket with no imperfections other than a bit of handling wear, No seam splits or heavy ring wear (just a bit of a partial ring on the back), there is some light roughing along the bottom seam and some cracking along the title seam, there is a single small spot where a tiny abrasion is on the front, I can't recall how it happened - it's by a Paul photo

DAVES RATINGS:
MINT - Either sealed or spotless vinyl which is play rated and without any background noise whatsoever - PERFECT
NEAR MINT - Vinyl is without scratches, jumps, pops, crackle or clicks - visually flawless and if play rated plays without background noise, may have some ultra light paper scuffing which does not affect play (a minus on Near Mint (NM-) is an indication of visual scuffs that do not affect play on an otherwise NM LP).
EXCELLENT -  I use this rating for LP's that appear to be VG++ with light scuffs and such, but they play closer to NM.  As with all the fine variations of grading, read the description with the grading
VERY GOOD ++ - Vinyl has some light paper scuffs but no scratches or imperfections that can or might cause obtrusive background noise, very light ticks or light crackle may be heard but only very sporadically. Very close to near mint visually but when played it is just a bit off. A great second copy while awaiting a perfect one.
