Description
The Beatles Collection (containing all 13 of their albums) from EMI Electrola Germany is an uncommon edition of "the Blue Box" set of vinyl LP records. A DMM release, the recordings are on EMI’s Parlophone label. All LPs, including the Beatles initial four albums, are in stereo. DMM stands for "Direct Metal Mastering” (DMM is a master disc cutting technology from TELDEC, which can be used either from analog or digital sources. DMM = a copper metal master cuts the disc “grooves” directly via stamper(s) production on the surface; the conventional silver plating and "mother" making process as employed in lacquer cutting technology is not employed). As stated on each record jacket, “this album has been direct metal mastered from a digitally re-mastered original tape to give the best possible sound quality.”
The vinyl is in excellent or better condition and, as is the case with DMM, is silent. The 14 records in the set were rarely played. And they play great, cleaner than the box sets released in the USA last year. The record jackets are in excellent condition with some minor storage wear on the top of some of the jackets. Each jacket, except for the European version of “Rarities,” bears a sticker trumpeting the remastered record. Each record is housed in a lined inner sleeve. The blue box container that houses the collection is used but in very good condition with bright accents.

The box set will be carefully packed and sent via USPS Media Mail for a continental USA sale, unless the buyer wishes to be sent the set by another mutually agreed upon method at his or her expense. Insurance is the buyer's responsibility. As far as international sales go, I reserve the right to sell only to well-qualified buyers located in places where secure shipping is not an issue.
