October 11, 1965 was a “Green Letter Day” for The Beatles. On that day, Capitol Records released six 45s under their Starline (aka Star Line) label.

Today, these green swirl discs are among the most prized in the group’s historic catalog. On other auction sites, you’ll find them selling for hundreds of dollars—EACH!

6061 TWIST AND SHOUT / THERE’S A PLACE

This is the RARER EAST COAST LABEL WITH THIN PRINT. The sound on both of these terrific songs is terrific, as well. The labels have names on both sides and expected ringwear.

6062 LOVE ME DO / P.S. I LOVE YOU

Another EAST COAST LABEL WITH THIN PRINT. And it sounds sensational! There are no owner marks like names or labels, just age-appropriate label wear, a bit more on the B-Side.

6063 PLEASE PLEASE ME / FROM ME TO YOU

An excellent copy that’s held up real well, with outstanding sound and nice labels flawed only by a name on the A side and slight perimeter wear.

6064 DO YOU WANT TO KNOW A SECRET / THANK YOU GIRL

This was likely a radio station copy, meaning the songs were quickly transferred to a tape cartridge and played very little. How do we know? The X identifies the A-side for the DJs, and the :01 is the intro time before George Harrison’s lead vocal.

6065 ROLL OVER BEETHOVEN / MISERY

Also a radio station, seldom-played copy, with the X designating the A-side and just minor perimeter wear.

6065 KANSAS CITY / BOYS

This EAST COAST PRESSING is pretty much as clean as they come! A small handwritten name/date on the A-Side is the only flaw on this awesome 45!
