Up for auction is The Beatles Bobb'n Head Nodders. Made in Japan Car Mascots, Inc. Los Angeles 26, California, USA. (1964). The bottom of the box is in fairly nice condition. There are pieces of tape on the box that were probably placed there to hold the lid on. The top of the box is in very poor condition. The cellophane covering the "windows" is torn or missing on three of them. There are a lot of tears on the box, including all four corners. There is a piece of the top layer of paper on the box torn off, which probably happened when removing a piece of tape.
The nodders themselves are in fairly nice condition. Three of the four are 8" tall. Ringo is a bit shorter. Paul shows no wear at all. George has a small crack on his jaw line that measures about 1/4". His head doesn't sit quite straight. Ringo has half of one drum stick and is missing the other. He has a crack that goes all the way around his neck. It has been there since I bought the set 25 years ago. John has a slight crack on his jaw line and also has a crack around his neck. It's very slight and hardly noticeable. It appears that their lip coloring has either faded or was never really there. We have set a reserve of $250.00.
I bought the set 25 years ago. It was in the condition that it is in now. It has been sitting on a shelf since I bought it. Nothing was ever removed from the box until we took photos. Please contact us with questions or if more photos are needed.
