BEATLES’ Christmas Album Still in Shrink SPLIT LABEL
I’m going to tell on all the sellers selling pirates of this album right now. This copy is a pirate with an interesting label error. You can always tell a pirate by the concentric ring on the label. Genuine Winchester copies have Capitol’s distinctive ring, close to the playhole. Any copy WITHOUT EXCEPTION that has a ring that is closer to the outer edge of the record label is a pirate. I chose this copy, because you can see the genuine ring was photocopied onto the label, and the actual ring on this copy is close to the outer edge. See photo.
Vinyl---VG++. Looks very new, because I’m the original owner. I bought this one in the late 1980’s as a filler until I found the genuine thing. Side 2 has some manufacturer’s marks, keeping this copy from being NM.
Sleeve---issued with a generic white inner sleeve in just fine condition.
Cover---still in the shrinkwrap, the cover is in NM condition. The back cover has some light dirtwear which moves with my thumb, meaning that the dirt is restricted to the shrinkwrap, and not the cover. There’s a crease in the upper right corner of the back cover, not serious though. No breathe holes in the shrinkwrap, of course. Bottom right corner has a push-in. All seams and spine are perfectly strong and new-looking. Very clear, legible print on the spine will look great on your shelf!
If you plan to bid, please read this first…
For the second time in two weeks, I’ve had a very high bid cancelled on my auctions. A third buyer who won her auction told me she was going to withhold payment for two days while she decided whether she wanted the LP. All of these LP’s were in the triple digits. Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay?
Thanks!
(Please note that due to time constraints, I have had to stop play-testing my vinyl. However, I am happy to by request. As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up. Thanks!)
